Bible Answer:
Old Testament:
Psalm 41:13 KJV
Blessed be The Lord God Of Israel
from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen*, and Amen.
*Amen: Hebrew, ((Aw-mane): Sure,
faithfulness, truly, amen, so be it, truth.
New Testament:
II Corinthians 1:20 KJV
For all the promises of God in Him
are yea, and in Him Amen*, unto the glory of God by us.
*Amen: Greek, (Am-ane): Firm,
i.e. trustworthy, surely, so be it, amen, verily.
II Corinthians 1:20 NLT
For all of God’s promises have
been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through
Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God
for His glory.
When we end our
prayers in Amen, we do both show our agreement, as to His ability to
answer all our prayers, and our submission to His all authority and
power to do so.
