Bible Questions Answered: Pardon

Bible Questions Answered:
“...it says God forgives sins but I still think abut stuff and what will God do?”
Adrian/ Munich, Germany

Bible Answer:

When you go to the Lord, and ask Him to forgive you, your sins, He does just that.
And He will remember them “no,” more.
This is true when we do an about face to sin and live for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 33:16 NLT
None of their past sins will be brought up again, for they have done what is just and right, and they will surely live.

Hebrews 8:12 NLT
And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”

Pardon: To Release (a person) from further punishment for a crime. To cancel a penalty for an offense, forgive.

Isaiah 55:7 KJV

Justify: To show to be just, right, or in accord with reason; vindicate. To be free from blame; declare guiltless, absolve.

Justification: A justifying or being justified. A fact that justifies or vindicates.
New World Dictionary.

Romans 3:23,24 KJV

24 Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 5:1,9 KJV
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
9 Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!

When we confess our sins to the Saviour, How do we become pardoned, justified?

Psalm 32:1 KJV
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
(By the work of our Saviour at Calvary.)

Psalm 85:2 KJV

Isaiah 53:6 NLT
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him (Christ) the sins of us all.

Micah 7:19 KJV
He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

John 1:29 KJV

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the Truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

There is only “one,” and only “one,” Saviour!

John 8:24 KJV
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

I Corinthians 3:11 KJV
