Pain
Bible Questions Answered:
“If god is a god of love why did he
make a world of pain?...”

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
God created pain receptors in the body,
there are some 200 pain receptors in every square inch of flesh.
That's a lot of pain receptors, and why did God do that?
Without pain receptors a person may
have his hand too close to the camp fire and burn himself, a runner
may over do his exercise and hurt himself, if his body wasn't warning
him, “hey this hurts, back off!”
Job 14:22 KJV
But his flesh upon him shall have
pain..."
Job 30:17 NLT
At night my bones are filled with
pain, which gnaws at me relentlessly.
Man, is not the
only one experiencing pain!
The Word Of The
Lord also tells us that all of creation experiences pain.
Jeremiah
12:10,11 NLT
10 “Many rulers have ravaged My
vineyard, trampling down the vines and turning all its beauty into a
barren wilderness.
11 They have made it an empty
wasteland; I hear its mournful cry. The whole land is desolate, and
no one even cares.
Romans 8:22 KJV
For we know that the whole creation
groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
Pain came as
Divine Judgment:
Genesis 3:17-19
KJV
17 And unto Adam He said, Because
thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the
tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:
cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all
the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it
bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt
thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast
thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
Revelation 16:10
KJV
And the fifth angel poured out his
vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of
darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
Godly (pain)
sorrow, leads to repentance:
II Corinthians
7:8-10 NLT
8 I am not sorry that I sent that
severe letter to you, though I was sorry at first, for I know it was
painful to you for a little while.
9 Now I am glad I sent it, not
because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to repent and
change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants His people to
have, so you were not harmed by us in any way.
10 For the kind of sorrow God wants
us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation.
There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow,
which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
Our Faithful
High Priest:
Hebrews 2:18 NLT
Since He Himself has gone through
suffering and testing, He is able to help us when we are being
tested.
Hebrews 4:14-16
MSG (The High Priest Who Cried Out in Pain)
14-16 Now that we know what we
have—Jesus, this Great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s
not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a Priest who is
out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and
testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right
up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept
the help.
Psalm 18:2 NLT
(The Lord Our Spiritual Deliverer.)
The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress,
and my savior; my God is my Rock, in whom I find Protection. He is my
Shield, The Power that saves me, and my place of Safety.
Psalm 34:18 NLT
(The Lord Delivers From Emotional Pain.)
The Lord is close to the
brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
Our God's
Promise:
I Corinthians
10:13 MSG
No test or temptation that comes
your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All
you need to remember is that God will never let you down; He’ll
never let you be pushed past your limit; He’ll always be there to
help you come through it.
For God's
people, there is coming a time when pain will forever be banished!
Revelation
21:4,5 KJV (The Lord, Our Deliverer from physical, spiritual, and
emotional pain.)
4 And God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former
things are passed away.
5 And He that sat upon the throne
said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for
these words are True and Faithful.
