[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
[2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
[3] And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Signs of God's Teacher:
A)
They believe that Christ is God:
John 1:1-4 KJV
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
[4] In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Colossians 1:12-18 KJV
[12] Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
[13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
[14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
[15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
[16] For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:

[18] And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.
Hebrews 1:1-3, 6-13 KJV

B)
They believe the eternal Son of God, to become the incarnate son of a virgin.
Isaiah 7:14 KJV “Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
Matthew 1:18-25 KJV
[18] Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
[19] Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
[20] But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

They believe in the “substitutionary sacrifice” of sin, through the “Lamb of God.”

Isaiah 53: KJV
[1] Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
[2] For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
[3] He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.
[4] Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

[8] He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? for He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was He stricken.
[9] And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.
[10] Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.
[11] He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities.
[12] Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He hath poured out His soul unto death: and He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
John 1:29 KJV “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
I Corinthians 15:3 KJV “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;”

They belleve Christ rose from the dead on the third day; delivered up for our offenses-raised up for our justification.
I Corinthians 15;4-8 KJV
[4] And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
[5] And that He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
[6] After that, He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
[7] After that, He was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
[8] And last of all He was seen of me (the apostle paul) also, as of one born out of due time.
Romans 4:25 KJV “Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
E)
They believe Christ ascended up into heaven, to sit at the right hand of God, serving as our High Priest, ever living to make intercession for us, and able to save all who come to Him, to the uttermost.
Psalm 110:1 KJV “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”
Hebrews 7:25 KJV “ Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

They believe Christ the eternal Son of God, resides in heaven as well as in the hearts of His people on earth.
Galatians 2:20 KJV “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.”
Colossians 1:27 KJV “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

They believe that this risen Lord, will come again in like manner as He went into heaven.
Acts 1:9-11 KJ V
[9] And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
[10] And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
[11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.

Those who believe and teach these things are true teachers, but those who do not ....
II Corinthians 11:13-15 KJV
[13] For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
