Bible Questions Answered:
“Are little children accountable to the Lord, so should we witness to them etc...”

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

At what age are children accountable to The Lord?

The Bible's answer:

James 4:17 KJV
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

The day a young person realizes the difference between right and wrong, begins their accountability to The Lord.

For some this may come at an earlier age, than for others.

Witnessing to a child, yes we should! Charles Spurgeon said “Children need to be saved, and may be saved.”

Jonathan Edwards became a Christian at the age of five.0
Coorie ten Boom became a Christian at the age of five.
Billy Graham became a Christian at the age of six.

II Timothy 3:14,15 NLT (Apostle Paul speaking to Timothy)
14 But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.
15 You have been taught The Holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

From infancy, Timothy's mother (A Jew, who had become a Christian) taught him The Holy Scriptures.
Timothy grew up to become a Christian evangelist, and the first Christian Pastor (Bishop) of Ephesus.

The Word, Witnessing To Children:

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 NLT
4 “Listen,...The Lord is our God, The Lord alone.
5 And you must love The Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
6 And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today.
7 Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

Deuteronomy 11:18,19 NLT
18 “So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these words of mine. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders.
19 Teach them to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.

Psalm 8:1,2 NLT
1 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens.
2 You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.

Proverbs 1:8,9 NLT
8 My child, listen when your father corrects you. Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction.
9 What you learn from them will crown you with grace and be a chain of honor around your neck.

Proverbs 22:6 KJV
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Matthew 18:10 KJV
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of My Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 21:15,16 KJV
15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to The Son Of David; they were sore displeased,
16 And said unto Him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

Mark 9:36,37 NLT
36 Then He put a little child among them. Taking the child in His arms, He said to them,
37 “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on My behalf welcomes Me, and anyone who welcomes Me welcomes not only Me but also My Father who sent Me.”

Mark 10:13-16 NLT (Jesus Blesses the Children)
13 One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so He could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering Him.
14 When Jesus saw what was happening, He was angry with His disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.
15 I tell you The Truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
16 Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them.

Acts 16:31 KJV
And they said, Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Prayer:

Revelation 3:20 KJV
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me.
