Bible Questions Answered:
“Did Jesus take upon himself the nature of satan, I'm talking about 2 Corinthians 5:21...?”

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:
There is a group that teaches this, and it is absolutely false!

II Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

II Corinthians 5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering* for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

* Propitiation:
An atoning sacrifice.

The Divine life of our Lord, does not, cannot change!

Malachi 3:6 KJV
For I am The Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Hebrews 1:10-12 KJV
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Hebrews 13:8 KJV
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

The Nature Of The Lord Jesus:

Leviticus 11:44 KJV
For I am The Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy..."

Leviticus 19:2 KJV
Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I The Lord your God am holy.

Leviticus 20:26 KJV
And ye shall be holy unto Me: for I The Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be Mine.

I Peter 1:15,16 KJV
15 But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

I Peter 2:21,22 NLT
21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in His steps.
22 He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.

Revelation 4:8 NLT
"...Day after day and night after night they keep on saying,
Holy, holy, holy is The Lord God, The Almighty— the one who always was, who is, and who is still to come.”

Though Jesus never sinned, He took upon Himself , the curse of (our) sin, to take our place in judgment.

II Corinthians 5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering* for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

* Propitiation:
An atoning sacrifice.
Merriam-Webster.Com

He became our “sacrifice,” for sin.

Sacrifice:
An act of offering to God something precious.

Sacrifice:
The act of offering something to God in propitiation or homage, especially the ritual slaughter of an animal
TheFreeDictionary.Com

Substitutionary sacrifice was initiated in Old Testament times, for the sins of Israel.

Leviticus 4:3,23 KJV "...the high priest...must present to The Lord a young bull with no defects. (verse 23 male goat with no defects/ verse 32 female sheep with no defects.)

Leviticus 4:24,33 NLT
4 He (the priest) must bring the bull to The Lord at the entrance of the Tabernacle, lay his hand on the bull’s head, and slaughter it before The Lord.
24 He must lay his hand on the goat’s head and slaughter it at the place where burnt offerings are slaughtered before The Lord. This is an offering for his sin.
33 They must lay a hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place where burnt offerings are slaughtered.

This was a symbolic gesture of transferring the sins of the people to the sacrificial animal.

Impute:
Theology. to attribute (righteousness, guilt, etc.) to a person or persons vicariously; ascribe as derived from another. Dictionary.Com

The animal did not become sin, rather it became a sacrificial substitute.
The Lord Jesus Christ, The Lamb Of God,

I Peter 1:18,19 KJV 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with The Precious Blood Of Christ, as of A Lamb without blemish and without spot:

The sinless Lord Jesus, became our sacrificial Lamb, taking upon Himself the sins of the world.

Prayer:

II Corinthians 5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
