The Word:
Isaiah 50:5,6
NLT
5 The Sovereign Lord has spoken to
Me, and I have listened. I have not rebelled or turned away.
6 I offered My back to those who
beat Me and My cheeks to those who pulled out My beard. I did not
hide My face from mockery and spitting.
Isaiah 53:7 NLT
He was oppressed and treated
harshly, yet He never said a word. He was led like A Lamb to the
slaughter. And as A Sheep is silent before the shearers, He did not
open His mouth.
Matthew 11:29
KJV
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of
Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto
your souls.
Matthew 12:18-21
NLT
18 “Look at My Servant, whom I
have chosen. He is My Beloved, who pleases Me. I will put My Spirit
upon Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations.
19 He will not fight or shout or
raise His voice in public.
20 He will not crush the weakest
reed or put out a flickering candle. Finally He will cause justice to
be victorious.
21 And His name will be the hope of
all the world.”
Matthew 21:5 KJV
Tell ye the daughter of Zion,
Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and
a colt the foal of an ass.
Matthew 27:12-14
NLT (Jesus’ Trial before Pilate)
12 But when the leading priests and
the elders made their accusations against Him, Jesus remained silent.
13 “Don’t you hear all these
charges they are bringing against you?” Pilate demanded.
14 But Jesus made no response to any
of the charges, much to the governor’s surprise.
Luke 23:34 NLT
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them,
for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers
gambled for His clothes by throwing dice.
John 13:5 KJV
After that He poureth water into a
basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with
the towel wherewith He was girded.
Acts 8:32 NLT
The passage of Scripture he (The
Ethiopian Eunuch) had been reading was this: “He was led like A
Sheep to the slaughter. And as A Lamb is silent before the shearers,
He did not open His mouth.
II Corinthians
10:1 KJV
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the
meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you,
but being absent am bold toward you:
Philippians
2:5-8 KJV
5 Let this mind be in you, which was
also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God,
thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made Himself of no reputation,
and took upon Him the form of A servant, and was made in the likeness
of men:
8 And being found in fashion as A
Man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the
death of the cross.
Hebrews 12:2 KJV
Looking unto Jesus The Author and
Finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him
endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at The Right
Hand Of The Throne Of God.
I Peter 2:21-23
KJV
21 For even hereunto were ye called:
because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye
should follow His steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile
found in His mouth:
23 Who, when He was reviled, reviled
not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself
to Him that judgeth righteously:
Is
Your All on the Altar?
You have longed for sweet peace,
And for faith to increase,
And have earnestly, fervently prayed;
But you cannot have rest,
Or be perfectly blest,
Until all on the altar is laid.
Refrain:
Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?
Your heart does The Spirit control?
You can only be blest,
And have peace and sweet rest,
As you yield Him your body and soul.
Would you walk with The Lord,
In the light of His Word,
And have peace and contentment alway?
You must do His sweet will,
To be free from all ill,
On the altar your all you must lay.
Oh, we never can know
What The Lord will bestow
Of the blessings for which we have prayed,
Till our body and soul
He doth fully control,
And our all on the altar is laid.
Who can tell all the love
He will send from above,
And how happy our hearts will be made;
Of the fellowship sweet
We shall share at His feet,
When our all on the altar is laid.

Prayer:
Luke 22:27 NLT
Who is more important, the one who
sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the
table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves.
