Prayer Request:
The
following prayer request has come into TBPL. A man named George out
on the street, begging for change, says he needs prayer. His story is
a man 38 years old, married with four children. Several years ago,
his wife had an affair with his best friend. George, was hurt beyond
reason, and ran away. Once a month he sees his children, his wife
wants him to come back home. George says he is a baptized Christian.
Why doesn't he go back, he cannot forgive Darla, his wife. It has
been pointed out to this gentleman that our Lord, told Peter, he must
forgive, without limit, to this knowledge, George hangs his head and
weeps. George has had heart trouble in the past, and is worried, that
some how all this must work out, and soon.
Matthew 18:21,22 KJV
21
Then came Peter to Him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin
against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but,
Until seventy times seven.
Pastor, when you have an altar call, remember it is not, just
repentance and faith in The Lord Jesus, it is also, forgiveness of
others, not just John 3:16, but Matthew 6:12 as well!!!
Forgiving
Others:
Matthew
6:12 KJV (The Lord's Prayer)
And
forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Matthew
6:12 NLT
and
forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.
Matthew 6:14,15 KJV
14
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will
also forgive you:
15
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father
forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 18:23-35 KJV
23
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which
would take account of his servants.
24
And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed
him ten thousand talents.
25
But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be
sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to
be made.
26
The servant therefore fell down, and worshiped him, saying, Lord,
have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27
Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed
him, and forgave him the debt.
28
But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants,
which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took
him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29
And his fellow servant fell down at his feet, and besought him,
saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30
And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should
pay the debt.
31
So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were very sorry,
and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32
Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou
wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst
me:
33
Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant,
even as I had pity on thee?
34
And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he
should pay all that was due unto him.
35
So likewise shall My Heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from
your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
1 John 4:20 KJV
If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
The God of the universe, who sees all, will hear your prayer for
George and Darla, and He will answer. Will the books of heaven, show
that you cared for them, and prayed?
Revelation
20:12 KJV
And
I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is The Book Of life: and
the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the
books, according to their works.
Come, Ye Disconsolate
(without consolation or comfort; unhappy)
Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye languish,
Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel.
Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish;
Earth has no sorrow that heav’n cannot heal.
Joy of the desolate, Light of the straying,
Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure!
Here speaks The Comforter, tenderly saying,
“Earth has no sorrow that heav’n cannot cure.”
Here see The Bread Of Life, see waters flowing
Forth from The Throne Of God, pure from above.
Come to the feast of love; come, ever knowing
Earth has no sorrow but heav’n can remove.
