Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
Judgment
Seat Of Christ:
This takes place in the heavenlies, after the rapture of
the church, and is for Christians, and is the trying of a life time
of their works.
I
Thessalonians 4:14-17 KJV
14
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also
which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.
15
For this we say unto you by The Word Of The Lord, that we which are
alive and remain unto the coming of The Lord shall not prevent them
which are asleep.
16
For The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in
Christ shall rise first:
17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet The Lord in the air: and so shall we ever
be with The Lord.
I
Corinthians 51,52 KJV
51
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall
all be changed,
52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and
we shall be changed.
The Judge at the judgment seat, is The Lord Jesus:
II
Corinthians 5:10 KJV
For
we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one
may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath
done, whether it be good or bad.
John
5:22 KJV
For
The Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto The
Son:
Romans
14:10-12 KJV
10
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought
thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of
Christ.
11
For it is written, As I live, saith The Lord, every knee shall bow to
Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
All Christians from the cross to the rapture, (born
again believers), will be judged at the judgment
seat.
II
Corinthians 5:1-19 KJV
1
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were
dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
2
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our
house which is from heaven:
3
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4
For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for
that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be
swallowed up of life.
5
Now He that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also
hath given unto us the earnest of The Spirit.
6
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at
home in the body, we are absent from The Lord:
7
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the
body, and to be present with The Lord.
9
Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be
accepted of Him.
10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that
every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that
he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11
Knowing therefore the terror of The Lord, we persuade men; but we are
made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your
consciences.
12
For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to
glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which
glory in appearance, and not in heart.
13
For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be
sober, it is for your cause.
14
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that
if one died for all, then were all dead:
15
And that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth
live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose
again.
16
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we
have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we Him no
more.
17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things
are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus
Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself,
not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us
the word of reconciliation.
The works done, and its motives, will be judged.
I
Corinthians 3:13-15 KJV
13
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare
it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try
every man's work of what sort it is.
14
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall
receive a reward.
15
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he
himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
All
Christian works will come before the fire.
Hebrews
12:29 KJV
For
our God is a consuming fire.
Works not consumed, will receive a reward. Works lost by
the fire, will be lost, yet the person will be saved so as by fire
(separated from his false works).
Prayer:
Matthew
19:30 KJV
But
many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
Romans
2:6 KJV
Who
(God) will render to
every man according to his deeds:
I
Corinthians 15:58 KJV
Therefore,
my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in
the work of The Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in
vain in The Lord.
Galatians
6:9 KJV
And
let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap,
if we faint not.
Colossians
3:23,24 KJV
23
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to The Lord, and not unto
men;
24
Knowing that of The Lord ye shall receive the reward of the
inheritance: for ye serve The Lord Christ.
