The life of a follower of Jesus Christ, is a life of persecution and dispisement.
The choice before us is, cast away the cross of Christ, and stop following Him, or take up our cross and stay close to Him, even though it means persecution and worldly rejection.
John 15:20 KJV

Galatians 6:12,14 NLT (Apostle Paul to Galatian believers)
