Bible Lesson: Messianic
Prophecies, Fulfilled, In Jesus Christ. Pierced Hands And Feet.
Bible Text:
Prophecy:
Psalm 22:16 KJV (In the time of
King David-1085-1015 B.C.)
For dogs have
compassed Me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed Me: they
pierced My hands and My feet.
Fulfilled:
John 19:36,7 KJV A.D. 33
36 For these things were done, that
the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of Him shall not be broken.
37 And again another scripture
saith, They shall look on Him whom they pierced.
The
Word:
John
20:19,20,24-29 KJV=
19
Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when
the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of
the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them,
Peace be unto you.
20
And when He had so said, He shewed unto them His hands and His side.
Then were the disciples glad, when they saw The Lord.
24
But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when
Jesus came.
25
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen The Lord.
But He said unto them, Except I shall see in His hands the print of
the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust
my hand into His side, I will not believe.
26
And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with
them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst,
and said, Peace be unto you.
27
Then saith He to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold My
hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into My side: and be
not faithless, but believing.
28
And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God.
29
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast
believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Revelation
1:7 KJV
Behold,He
cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which
pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him.
Even so, Amen.
My
Savior First of All
When my lifework is ended, and I cross the swelling
tide,
When the bright and glorious morning I shall see;
I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other side,
And His smile will be the first to welcome me.
Refrain:
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
As redeemed by His side I shall stand,
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
By the print of the nails in His hand.
Oh, the soul-thrilling rapture when I view His blessed
face,
And the luster of His kindly beaming eye;
How my full heart will praise Him for the mercy, love
and grace,
That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.
Oh, the dear ones in glory, how they beckon me to come,
And our parting at the river I recall;
To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my welcome
home;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.
Through the gates to the city in a robe of spotless
white,
He will lead me where no tears will ever fall;
In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with delight;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

Prayer:
Isaiah
53:5 NLT
But
He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins.
He
was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be
healed.
