Bible Texts:
Ingratitude:
Deuteronomy
8:11 KJV
11
“...Beware that in your plenty you do not forget The Lord your God
and disobey His commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving
you today.
12
For when you have become full and prosperous and have built fine
homes to live in,
13
and when your flocks and herds have become very large and your silver
and gold have multiplied along with everything else, be careful!
14
Do not become proud at that time and forget The Lord your God..."
Luke 17:11-19 NLT (Ten Healed of Leprosy)
11
As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, He reached the border between
Galilee and Samaria.
12
As He entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a
distance,
13
crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14
He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.”
And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy.
15
One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus,
shouting, “Praise God!”
16
He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking Him for what He had
done. This man was a Samaritan.
17
Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine?
18
Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19
And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed
you.”
Romans
1:21 KJV
Because
that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish
heart was darkened.
II
Timothy 3:1-5 KJV
1
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
unholy,
3
Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4
Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of
God;
5
Having a form of Godliness, but denying The Power thereof: from such
turn away.
Our world, is filled with unthankful people. What a mark
of distinction, that Christians are a people full of gratitude to The
Lord.
The
Remedy:
Psalms
100:1-5 KJV
1
Make a joyful noise unto The Lord, all ye lands.
2
Serve The Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing.
3
Know ye that The Lord He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not
we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with
praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.
5
For The Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His Truth
endureth to all generations.
I
Corinthians 15:57 KJV

Philippians

careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as
members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be
thankful.
16
Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives.
Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom He gives. Sing
psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of The Lord
Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God The Father.

concerning you.
Hebrews
12:28 NLT
Since
we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and
please God by worshiping Him with holy fear and awe.
Revelation
11:16,17 KJV
16
And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats,
fell upon their faces, and worshiped God,
17
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and
wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great
power, and hast reigned.
Come,
Ye Thankful People, Come
Come, ye thankful people, come,
Raise the song of harvest home;
All is safely gathered in,
Ere the winter storms begin;
God Our Maker doth provide
For our wants to be supplied;
Come to God’s own temple, come,
Raise the song of harvest home.
All the world is God’s own field,
Fruit unto His praise to yield;
Wheat and tares together sown,
Unto joy or sorrow grown;
First the blade, and then the ear,
Then the full corn shall appear:
Lord Of Harvest, grant that we
Wholesome grain and pure may be.
For The Lord our God shall come,
And shall take His harvest home;
From His field shall in that day
All offenses purge away;
Give His angels charge at last
In the fire the tares to cast;
But the fruitful ears to store
In His garner evermore.
Even so, Lord, quickly come,
Bring Thy final harvest home;
Gather Thou Thy people in,
Free from sorrow, free from sin,
There, forever purified,
In Thy garner to abide;
Come, with all Thine angels come,
Raise the glorious harvest home.
