Bible Lesson: Messianic
Prophecies, Fulfilled, In Jesus Christ. From The Tribe Of Judah
Bible Text:
Prophecy:
Genesis 49:10 KJV
The sceptre shall not depart from
Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and
unto Him shall the gathering of the people be.
Isaiah 11:1-5
KJV (A Branch from David’s Line)
1 Out of the stump of David’s
family[a] will grow a shoot— yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from
the old root.
2 And The Spirit of The Lord will
rest on Him— The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,The Spirit of
counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and the fear of The Lord.
3 He will delight in obeying The
Lord. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on
hearsay.
4 He will give justice to the poor
and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at
the force of His Word, and one breath from His mouth will destroy the
wicked.
5 He will wear righteousness like a
belt and truth like an undergarment.
Luke 3:33 NLT
Nahshon was the son of Amminadab.
Amminadab was the son of Admin.
Admin was the son of Arni.
Arni was the son of Hezron.
Hezron was the son of Perez.
Perez was the son of Judah.
Matthew's genealogy of Jesus, shows
that Christ was the son of Abraham, and heir to David's throne.
Matthew 1:1 KJV
The book of the generation of Jesus
Christ, The Son Of David, The Son Of Abraham.
Luke's genealogy shows Jesus as the
seed of the woman. Our mediator is both the son of Adam, and the
Son Of God. Jesus the perfect mediator for all men.
Acts 2:29-33 NLT
29 “Dear brothers, think about
this! You can be sure that the patriarch David wasn’t referring to
himself, for he died and was buried, and his tomb is still here among
us.
30 But he was a prophet, and he knew
God had promised with an oath that one of David’s own descendants
would sit on his throne.
31 David was looking into the future
and speaking of the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying that God
would not leave Him among the dead or allow His body to rot in the
grave.
32 “God raised Jesus from the
dead, and we are all witnesses of this.
33 Now He is exalted to the place of
highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand..."
Acts 13:22,23 NLT
22 But God removed Saul and replaced
him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son
of Jesse, a man after My own heart. He will do everything I want him
to do.’
23 “And it is one of King David’s
descendants, Jesus, who is God’s promised Savior of Israel!
Romans 1:2-4 NLT
2 God promised this Good News long
ago through His prophets in The Holy Scriptures.
3 The Good News is about His Son. In
His earthly life He was born into King David’s family line,
4 and He was shown to be The Son Of
God when He was raised from the dead by the power of The Holy Spirit.
He is Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 5:1-14 KJV
1 And I saw in the right hand of Him
that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside,
sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel
proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to
loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in
earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to
look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man
was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look
thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto
me, Weep not: behold, The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah, The Root Of
David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals
thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the
midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the
elders, stood A Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and
seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits Of God sent forth into all
the earth.
7 And He came and took the book out
of the right hand of Him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when He had taken the book,
the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before The Lamb,
having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which
are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying,
Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for
thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by Thy Blood out of
every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God
kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
11 And I beheld, and I heard the
voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the
elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand,
and thousands of thousands;
12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy
is The Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom,
and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in
heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the
sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor,
and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and
unto The Lamb for ever and ever.
14 And the four beasts said, Amen.
And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped Him that
liveth for ever and ever.
Revelation
11:15-19 KJV
15 And the seventh angel sounded;
and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this
world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He
shall reign for ever and ever.
16 And the four and twenty elders,
which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and
worshiped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O
Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou
hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
18 And the nations were angry, and
thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be
judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the
prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and
great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened
in heaven, and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament:
and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an
earthquake, and great hail.
Prayer:
Isaiah 9:6,7 KJV
6 For unto us A Child is born, unto
us A Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and
His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The
Everlasting Father, The Prince Of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government
and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon
his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with
justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of The Lord Of Hosts
will perform this.
Micah 5:2 KJV
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though
thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he
come forth unto Me that is to be Ruler in Israel; whose goings forth
have been from of old, from everlasting.
John 7:42 KJV
Hath not the scripture said, That
Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem,
where David was?
I Peter 1:18-20
KJV
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were
not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your
vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with The Precious Blood Of
Christ, as of A Lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained
before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last
times for you,
