Great Question. So many people are involved with cults today, and they seem as legitimate and religious as any church. Here are three tests for a church that believes The Bible.
First and foremost, who is Jesus Christ?
Virgin Born?
Complete and fully God?
Came down from heaven and became flesh?
Is man kinds “only” Savior?
Secondly, what do they believe concerning The Bible?
The Bible stands alone as God's Holy Word. (Nothing may ever be added to it or taken away.)
Any and all doctrines must be based upon the King James Version of The Bible! Recognized by Bible Scholars world wide and The Word Of God.
The Reformer. Luther’s sola Scriptura, attributed absolute authority to The Bible.
No pope,prelate, priest, pastor, bishop etc. etc. has any authority over The Word. Sola Scriptura-Scripture, the Word Of God alone, is the final authority!
Thirdly, what do they believe concerning salvation?
Born Again?
Salvation through works, Christ plus other things equal salvation?
Many paths to salvation?
One may never know if they are saved or not.
Christ, alone, saves us, a Gift of God's grace.
