Bible Questions Answered:

“I read “the fullness of the gentiles,” what does this mean?...”

Art/ Westminster, California U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Romans 11:25 NLT (God’s Mercy Is for Everyone)

I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ. (“...the fulness of the Gentiles ...” KJV)

“The Fullness Of The Gentiles,” this expression so indicates “The Church Of God,” those blood washed people who have chosen The Lord, as their Savior, have come to completion.

Acts 15:14 NLT

Peter has told you about the time God first visited the Gentiles to take from them a people for Himself.

Ephesians 1:22,23 NLT

22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him Head Over All Things for the benefit of the church.

23 And the church is His body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with Himself.

Ephesians 4:13 NLT

This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in The Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

Many Jews, as well, will be saved in this dispensation of grace. When the body of Christ is complete, then will be “the fullness of the Gentiles.”

At our Lord's second coming, Jews will seek their “true and faithful, Messiah, The Lord Jesus Christ”

Ephesians 2:14,15 NLT

14 For Christ Himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.

15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in Himself one new people from the two groups.

Romans 11:25-27 NLT (God’s Mercy Is for Everyone)

25 I want you to understand this mystery, dear brothers and sisters, so that you will not feel proud about yourselves. Some of the people of Israel have hard hearts, but this will last only until the full number of Gentiles comes to Christ.

26 And so all Israel will be saved. As the Scriptures say, “The One who rescues will come from Jerusalem, and He will turn Israel away from ungodliness.

27 And this is My Covenant with them, that I will take away their sins.”

Isaiah 27:6-9 NLT

6 The time is coming when Jacob’s descendants will take root. Israel will bud and blossom and fill the whole earth with fruit!

7 Has The Lord struck Israel as He struck her enemies? Has He punished her as He punished them?

8 No, but He exiled Israel to call her to account. She was exiled from her land as though blown away in a storm from the east.

9 The Lord did this to purge Israel’s wickedness, to take away all her sin. As a result, all the pagan altars will be crushed to dust.

Romans 11:12-15 NLT

12 Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it.

13 I am saying all this especially for you Gentiles. God has appointed me as the apostle to the Gentiles. I stress this,

14 for I want somehow to make the people of Israel jealous of what you Gentiles have, so I might save some of them.

15 For since their rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, their acceptance will be even more wonderful. It will be life for those who were dead!

Prophecy:

Isaiah 59:10-12,20,21 NLT

10 We grope like the blind along a wall, feeling our way like people without eyes. Even at brightest noontime, we stumble as though it were dark. Among the living, we are like the dead.

11 We growl like hungry bears; we moan like mournful doves.

We look for justice, but it never comes. We look for rescue, but it is far away from us.

12 For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us. Yes, we know what sinners we are.

20 “The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins,” says The Lord.

21 “And this is My covenant with them,” says The Lord. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these Words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, The Lord, have spoken!

Jeremiah 31:31-34 NLT

31 “The day is coming,” says The Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.

32 This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt. They broke that covenant, though I loved them as A Husband loves His wife,” says The Lord.

33 “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,” says The Lord. “I will put My instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.

34 And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know The Lord.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know Me already,” says The Lord. “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.”

Prayer:

Acts 2:21 KJV

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of The Lord shall be saved.
