outer darkness?”

Answer:
Bible Texts:
Matthew
8:11,12 KJV
11
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and
shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of
heaven.
12
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer
darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
These words were said by our Lord, in His amazement of a Centurions*
faith.
*Centurion:
A Roman army captain with a garrison of some 100 men under his
command.
Matthew
8:1-13 KJV
5
And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto Him a
centurion, beseeching Him,
6
And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy,
grievously tormented.
7
And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou
shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant
shall be healed.
9
For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say
to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh;
and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10
When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to them that followed,
Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in
Israel.
11
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and
west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the
kingdom of heaven.
12
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer
darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast
believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the
selfsame hour.
Luke
7:1-10 KJV
1
Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people,
he entered into Capernaum.
2
And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick,
and ready to die.
3
And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews,
beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
4
And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying,
That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
5
For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
6
Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the
house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord,
trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter
under my roof:
7
Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say
in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
8
For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers,
and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he
cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9
When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him
about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I
have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10
And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant
whole that had been sick.
This Gentile Centurion an outsider by many standards, and yet a
believer. Many proclaimed of him,
“he
hath built us a synagogue.” (Luke
7:5 KJV) A man no doubt,
who studied the scriptures, and who received The Lord Jesus. .
In his humility and faith, the Centurion said to The Lord...
Luke
7:6-9 KJV
6
“... Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou
shouldest enter under my roof:
9
When Jesus heard these things, He marveled at him, and turned Him
about, and said unto the people that followed Him, I say unto you, I
have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10
And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant
whole that had been sick.
Jesus marveled at the Centurions faith, and then He spoke to the
Jews, that followed Him.
Matthew
8:10-12 KJV
Those who received The Lord, as God's Son, The Savior, and renounced
sin and publicly confessed Him, while obediently living for Him, were
received into heaven.
And those, who thought because of their heritage (The Jews), with
father Abraham, they were by virtue of their lineage, accepted into
the kingdom of God, were sadly MISTAKEN, and would be instead,
cast out into outer darkness.
John
1:12,13 KJV
12
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons
of God, even to them that believe on His name:
13
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of
the will of man, but of God.
Why were they cast out? They were cast out because they never had
any personal relationship with The Lord. They didn't need a
Savior, one to confess, and renounce their sins to. One to accept as
The Master of their lives, One who requires obedience and service.
All their outward show of piety, meant nothing to The Savior, for
they had no personal relationship with Him.
Matthew
7:21-23 KJV
21
Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is
in heaven.
22
Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied
in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name
done many wonderful works?
23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me,
ye that work iniquity.
Workers of iniquity, because, they were leading countless others
astray, through all they did!
II
Timothy 3:5 KJV
Having
a form of Godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn
away.
Are
there really, “Workers Of Iniquity”- Churches in our
world today? Yes, Jesus said so!

Samuel 24:14 KJV
And
David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the
hand of The Lord; for His mercies are great: and let me not fall into
the hand of man
Psalm

For
thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy
unto all them that call upon thee.
Titus
3:5 KJV
Not
by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His
mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of
The Holy Ghost;
Hebrews

Let
us therefore come boldly unto The Throne Of Grace, that we may obtain
mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
