Bible Questions Answered:
“How
can I be changed if I don't have the power to fight off old
ways?...”
Norby/

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
Acts
2:38 NLT (Salvation-Formula)
Peter
replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and
turn to God, and be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then
you will receive The Gift Of The Holy Spirit.
Romans 6:1-14 NLT (Sin’s Power Is Broken)
2...Since
we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
3
Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in
baptism, we joined Him in His death?
4
For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just
as Christ was raised from the dead by The Glorious Power Of The
Father, now we also may live new lives.
5
Since we have been united with Him in His death, we will also be
raised to life as He was.
6
We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so
that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves
to sin.
7
For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of
sin.
8
And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with Him.
9
We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and He
will never die again. Death no longer has any power over Him.
10
When He died, He died once to break the power of sin. But now that He
lives, He lives for the glory of God.
11
So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of
sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
12
Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful
desires.
13
Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to
serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were
dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an
instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
14
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the
requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s
grace.
Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV (Battle Plan)
10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in The Lord, and in The Power Of His
Might.
11
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against
the wiles of the devil.
12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with Truth, and having
on the breastplate of righteousness;
15
And your feet shod with the preparation of The Gospel Of Peace;
16
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17
And take the helmet of salvation, and The Sword Of The Spirit, which
is The Word Of God:
18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all
saints;
I
Peter 5:6-10 KJV
6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may
exalt you in due time:
7
Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.
8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring
lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9
Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions
are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10
But The God Of All Grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory
by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you
perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
God
Will Take Care of You
Be not dismayed whate’er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.
Refrain:
God will take care of you,
Through every day, o’er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.
All you may need He will provide,
God will take care of you;
Nothing you ask will be denied,
God will take care of you.
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you;
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you.

Prayer:
Deuteronomy
20:4 KJV
For
the Lord your God is He that goeth with you, to fight for you against
your enemies, to save you.
John
16:33 KJV
These
things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the
world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world.
Romans
8:35-39 NLT
35
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He
no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted,
or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
36
(As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we
are being slaughtered like sheep.”)
37
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through
Christ, who loved us.
38
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s
love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our
fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers
of hell can separate us from God’s love.
39
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in
all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God
that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I
Corinthians 10:13 NLT
The
temptations in your life are no different from what others
experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to
be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a
way out so that you can endure.
I
Corinthians 15:57 KJV
But
thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ.
Ephesians
6:10 KJV
Finally,
my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in The Power Of His Might.
I
John 1:9 KJV
If
we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I
John 5:4 KJV
For
whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
