present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
In Old
Testament times, Priests offered up the sacrifice of animals, for
the sins of the people.
As
God's priests, we are to offer up sacrifice as well, but out
sacrifices are not to be that of animals, but the sacrifice of a life
lived in holiness to The Lord.
I Samuel 15:22 KJV
And
Samuel said, Hath The Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and
sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of The Lord? Behold, to obey is
better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
Psalm 4:5 KJV

At Christ's death, the veil of the temple was torn in two, access to
the holy of holies (God's presence), was now open by our High Priest
in heaven, The Lord Jesus Christ. And we as believers have become
priests being able to directly call upon Him.

As The Lord's priests may we always offer up sacrifices acceptable to
Him.
