Gospel-Declaring The

Bible Questions Answered:
“....I don't think  you preachers ought to condemn anyone, Jesus preached love!”
Bil/ Victoria, Australia

Bible Answer:
Jesus was not hesitant to expose and condemn sin.

Matthew 23:1-39 KJV
1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to His disciples,
2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

13 But woe* unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

*Woe-Greek-Ouai (Oo-ahee): Exclamation of grief: “woe.”

14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by Him that dwelleth therein.
22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by Him that sitteth thereon.

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Christ called the Scribes and Pharisees:

Blind – 3 times.
Blind guides- 2 times.
Fools- 2 times.
Generation of vipers-1
Serpents-1
Stonest them which are sent unto thee-1
Thou that killest the prophets-1
Thou that ...stonest them which are sent unto thee-1
Whited Sepulchers - 1
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!  8 times.
Ye are children of them which killed the prophets-1
Ye are full of hypocrisy-1
Your house is left unto you desolate-1
Ye are full of ...iniquity-1
Ye shall kill, crucify, scourage and persecute.-1

Preaching often involves the unmasking of sin:

Psalm 139:7-12 KJV
7 Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Jeremiah 16:17 KJV
For Mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from My face, neither is their iniquity hid from Mine eyes.

Jeremiah 17:9,10 KJV
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Luke 12:2 KJV
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

A servant of God, rebuked High Priest Eli:
I Samuel 2:27-29 NLT
27 One day a man of God came to Eli and gave him this message from the Lord: “I revealed myself to your ancestors when the people of Israel were slaves in Egypt.
28 I chose your ancestor Aaron from among all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer sacrifices on My altar, to burn incense, and to wear the priestly vest as he served Me. And I assigned the sacrificial offerings to you priests.
29 So why do you scorn My sacrifices and offerings? Why do you give your sons more honor than you give Me—for you and they have become fat from the best offerings of My people Israel!

Samuel rebuked King Saul:
I Samuel 13:13,14 NLT
13 “How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed. “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. Had you kept it, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.
14 But now your kingdom must end, for the Lord has sought out a man after His own heart. The Lord has already appointed him to be the leader of His people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”

Nathan rebuked King David:
II Samuel 12:7,9,10 NLT
7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are that man! The Lord, the God of Israel, says: I anointed you king of Israel and saved you from the power of Saul.
9 Why, then, have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the Ammonites and stolen his wife.
10 From this time on, your family will live by the sword because you have despised Me by taking Uriah’s wife to be your own.

Elijah rebuked King Ahab:
I Kings 21:20-22 NLT
20 “So, my enemy, you have found me!” Ahab exclaimed to Elijah. “Yes,” Elijah answered, “I have come because you have sold yourself to what is evil in the Lord’s sight.
21 So now the Lord says, ‘I will bring disaster on you and consume you. I will destroy every one of your male descendants, slave and free alike, anywhere in Israel!
22 I am going to destroy your family as I did the family of Jeroboam son of Nebat and the family of Baasha son of Ahijah, for you have made Me very angry and have led Israel into sin.’

Zechariah rebuked Judah:
II Chronicles 24:20
Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said, “This is what God says: Why do you disobey the Lord’s commands and keep yourselves from prospering? You have abandoned the Lord, and now He has abandoned you!”

It isn't the preacher that condemns, it is the word of God, that brings sin to light in the darkened hearts of men.

Proverbs 6:23 KJV
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

John 3:17-21 KJV
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the Only Begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the Light, neither cometh to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth Truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Hebrews 4:12,13 KJV
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Preaching God's Word; what did Jesus say?

Matthew 24:14 KJV
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world (Age). Amen.

Mark 13:10 KJV
And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

Mark 16:15 KJV
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Luke 24:47 KJV
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Christian's, keep witnessing of your faith! Use every opportunity!

I Peter 3:15 KJV
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Christianity-Different Than Other Religions

Bible Questions Answered:
“What makes Christianity, any different than any other religion?”
Catherine/ Uttar Pradesh, India

Bible Answer:

Christianity, is “not,” a religion of works. No matter what men may do, whether it be good or religious works, they cannot, cleanse themselves of their sins.

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace* are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

*Grace - Greek- Charis (Khar-ece): Benefit, favor, gift, joy, liberality, pleasure.
(Abingson's/Strong's Concordance)

As has been well said, Grace: God's Riches At Christ's Expense (Acronym).
Salvation, is not of works, but a “free gift,” to all who believe in Jesus Christ God's Son, and take Him as their Saviour, and Lord.

 Romans 3:23-25 NLT
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.
25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood..."

Titus 3:4-7 NLT
4 But—“When God our Savior revealed His kindness and love,
5 He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
7 Because of His grace He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”

No earthly leader of any religion has ever purported to be sinless, and having the ability to forgive sins!
None other than Jesus Christ, God's eternal Son.

Romans 5:8 KJV
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 7:24,25 NLT
24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?
25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord..."

II Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For He (God the Father) hath made Him (Jesus Christ God's Son) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Galatians 3:13 KJV
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

I Peter 2:22-25 NLT
22 He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.
23 He did not retaliate when He was insulted, nor threaten revenge when He suffered. He left His case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.
24 He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds you are healed.
25 Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.

I Peter 3:18 KJV
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Hebrews 9:14,28 KJV
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

I John 3:5 KJV
And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
28 Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Melchizedek-Melchisedec

Bible Questions Answered:
“Pastor, who was this Melchizedek?”
Thiago/ Madrid, Spain

Bible Answer:

Brief background: (Genesis 14:1-16)
A northern confederation of four kings came against five southern kings who refused to pay them tribute.
The four northern kings over came the five southern kings and looted and took their people.
Abraham's nephew Lot, was among them taken.

When Abraham heard of the devastation, he and his people went after the northern kings and overcame them, liberating Lot and all the people of the southern kingdoms, such as Sodom.

After this battle of liberation, Abraham was met by Melchizedek, a priest and king of Salem.

Genesis 14:19-21 NLT
19 Melchizedek blessed Abram with this blessing: “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.
20 And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you.” Then Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of all the goods he had recovered.

Many have asked, who was Melchizedek?

Melchizedek, is mentioned here (By Moses, in Genesis 14:19-21), and one other place, by the Apostle Paul, in  the book of Hebrews (When you have time read the whole book.).

Let us read the references and see, what our conclusion shall be.

Genesis 14:19-21 KJV
18 And Melchizedek* king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and He was the Priest of the Most High God.
19 And He blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the Most High God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the Most High God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he (Abram) gave Him tithes of all.

*Melchizedek-Hebrew-Malkiy-Tsedeq (Mal-kee-tseh-dek): King of right.

Facts Stated:

* Melchizedek was the King of Salem.
Salem, was Jerusalem.

Psalm 76:1,2 NLT
1 God is honored in Judah; His name is great in Israel.
2 Jerusalem is where He lives; Mount Zion is His home.

Jesus Christ:
Psalm 45:6,7 KJV (King of righteousness.)
6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the scepter of thy kingdom is a right scepter.
7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Matthew 2:2 KJV
Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen His star in the east, and are come to worship Him.

Matthew 27:37 KJV
And set up over His head His accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

* Melchisedek was King of Salem, a Hebrew derivative (Shalom) meaning, peace.

Jesus Christ:
Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Romans 5:1 KJV
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Ephesians 2:14 KJV
For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Colossians 1:20 KJV
And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

* Melchisedek was the Priest of the Most High God.

Jesus Christ:
Psalm 110:4 DT
Jehovah hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art priest for ever after the order of Melchisedek.

Hebrews 2:17 KJV
Wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that He might be a Merciful and Faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Hebrews 4:14 KJV
14 Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 8:1 KJV
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an High Priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

* Melchisedek, brought forth bread and wine.

Jesus Christ:
I Corinthians 11:23-26 KJV
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread:
24 And when He had given thanks, He brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me.
25 After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in My blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of Me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till He come.

* The Apostle Paul, spoke of Melchisedec:

Hebrews 5:5,6,8-10 KJV
5 So also Christ glorified not Himself to be made an High Priest; but He (God the Father) that said unto Him (Jesus Christ), Thou art My Son, to day have I begotten thee.
6 As He saith also in another place, Thou art a Priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec*.

*Melchisedec-Greek-Melchisedek (Mel-khis-ed-ek): A Patriarch.

Patriarch: The male head of a family.

(Hebrews 5:continued)
8 Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered;
9 And being made perfect, He became the Author of Eternal Salvation unto all them that obey Him;
10 Called of God an High Priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 6:18-20 KJV
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the Forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an High Priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7:1-3,11,15,17,21 KJV
1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of Righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of Peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a Priest continually.
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
21 (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by Him (God the Father) that said unto Him (Jesus Christ His Son), The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

Melchisedec, according to the Apostle Paul, was...” Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life..”

Question: What man on earth ever lived who never had a father or mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life????????

Answer: Only one, Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of the Father.

Jesus Christ was and is Melchisedec!
Much, more could be said, but one thing must be said, and not left unsaid!

Why, would anyone “murder” the Word of God, and say that Melchisedec was an earthly man?
OK, read that a few more times, before you move on!

There are some who would gladly ascribe the attributes of Melchisedec to an “earthly man,” because they wish to ascribe such attributes to “earthly” men in their church!

But such a thought is anathema! No earthly man, is the vicar of Christ!
And why is that?
First of all our High Priest is not dead on some cross, but interceding for His Church at the right hand of the Father in heaven!

Second, it is because “all” earthly men are under sin!

I Kings 8:46 NLT
“If they sin against you—and who has never sinned?—you might become angry with them and let their enemies conquer them and take them captive to their land far away or near.

Psalm 14:3 KJV
They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Psalm 51:5 KJV
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Psalm 53:3 KJV
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Proverbs 20:9 NLT
Who can say, “I have cleansed my heart; I am pure and free from sin”?

Ecclesiastes 7:20 KJV
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

Isaiah 53:6 KJV
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans 3:10,23 KJV
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Galatians 3:22 KJV
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

I John 5:19 KJV
"... the whole world lieth in wickedness.

I John 1:8-10 KJV
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

For one to dare stand and to say he is one standing in the place of Christ, let him meet the following
criteria!

Jesus Christ God's Eternal Son our Living High Priest:

Isaiah 53:9 KJV (Christ)
And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death; because He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.

John 8:46 KJV
Which of you convinceth me of sin?..."

II Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

Hebrews 4:15 KJV
For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 7:26 KJV
For such an High Priest became us, who is Holy, Harmless, Undefiled, Separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Hebrews 9:14 KJV
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

I Peter 1:19 KJV
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot:

I Peter 2:22 KJV
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth:

I John 3:5 KJV
And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.

Dear friend in Christ, always, always make the Word of God, your Standard for Truth!

Acts 17:10-12 NLT
10 That very night the believers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. When they arrived there, they went to the Jewish synagogue.
11 And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.
12 As a result, many Jews believed, as did many of the prominent Greek women and men.

James Usher: Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland between 1625 and 1656.
Usher, was a scholar who published a chronology of time and date of creation, from October 23, 4004 B.C.as is applied to the Julian calendar.

Theophany: The manifestation or appearance of God to a person.

As we have already found (Genesis 14:18-20 KJV), Melchizedek was the Lord, in appearance before Abram.

And Genesis 18:1-5 KJV, again the Lord appears before Abraham! This time His businesss was to observe the city of  Sodom and Gomorrah.

Genesis 18:20,21 NLT
20 So the Lord told Abraham, “I have heard a great outcry from Sodom and Gomorrah, because their sin is so flagrant.
21 I am going down to see if their actions are as wicked as I have heard. If not, I want to know.”

The point being extracted here is two fold.

1) Appearance in pre-incarnate form to Abraham, was not unusual.
2) The difference in time, is some 15 years, yet it is the same timeless “Lord of Glory.”

Our living God, has “never,” left His creation, but is involved in it every moment of every day!

Deuteronomy 7:9 KJV
Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God, the Faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations;

I Kings 8:56 KJV
Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto His people...according to all that He promised: there hath not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised..."

Psalm 36:5 KJV
Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Psalm 89:1 KJV
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

Lamentations 3:22-26 KJV
22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.

I Corinthians 1:9 KJV
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Hebrews 6:18 NLT
So God has given both His promise and His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.

I Peter 4:19 NLT
So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for He will never fail you.

Lay Aside Every Weight

Bible Questions Answered:
“...what exactly do we do to -lay aside every weight- as hebrews says?”
Ryan/ Ontario, Canada

Bible Answer:

Bible Text:
Hebrews 12:1-4 NLT
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight ("lay aside every weight" KJV)that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
3 Think of all the hostility He endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.
4 After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.

Here the Apostle Paul is referring to “spiritual discipline.
An athlete, knows that he must keep his eyes on the finish line, and “not,” be distracted by anything, if he wants to win the race.

And so the Apostle is encouraging us to live our life as a “spiritual,” athlete, “lay(ing) aside every weight,”that might slow us down, or trip us up.

I Corinthians 9:24-27 NLT
24 Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!
25 All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.
26 So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing.
27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

Mark 9:43-48 KJV (Jesus warned of things that can offend, spiritually.
43 And if thy hand offend* thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

*Offend:-Greek-Skandalizo ((Skan-dal-id-zo): Scandalize, to entrap, i.e. trip up, stumble, or entice to sin, apostasy, make to offend.
(Abingdon/Strong Concordance of the Bible.)

Ephesians 4:21-24 NLT
21 Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from Him,
22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.
23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Philippians 2:5-11 KJV
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Colossians 3:1-10 NLT
1 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all His glory.
5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
6 Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.
7 You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.
8 But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
9 Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like Him.

Our blessed Saviour, taught us to daily pray...
Matthew 6:13 KJV
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Matthew 26:41 KJV (Jesus)
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

I Corinthians 10:12,13 NLT (Apostle Paul)
12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall.
13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Our God, provides strength for the journey, to all who call upon Him.

Isaiah 40:28-31 KJV
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding.
29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of The Old Testament:  The Rod Of Aaron Changed Into A Serpent.

Occasion: The Revelation Of God's Power.

Location: Egypt.

Bible Text:
Be sure to read the blog  Miracles Of The Old Testament: The Rod Of Moses Changed Into A Serpent

Exodus 7:10-12 KJV                          )
10 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.
11 Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

Exodus 7:10 KJV
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

Things happen, when we do what the Lord has called us to do!

Hebrews 10:23 KJV
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)

Matthew 14:22-34 KJV
22 And straightway Jesus constrained His disciples to get into a ship, and to go before Him unto the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.
23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, He was there alone.
24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

The miraculous happens, when we obey the voice of the Lord!
Aaron's rod became a serpent.

Mark 16:17 KJV
And these signs shall follow them that believe..."

Luke 10:17 NLT
When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to Him, “Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!”

Exodus 7:11 KJV
Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

Christian, did you read that verse? Read it again!

Question: Can Satan and his minions, perform miracles????????
Answer: Yes!

If you follow any man or spiritual event, just because you see tangible results....prepare to be deceived!
The miraculous, itself, does not solely testify of the morality of an individual!

In the garden of Eden, Satan possessed the body of a talking, reasoning reptile!
Genesis 3:1 KJV
Now the serpent was more subtil* than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

*Subtil: Hebrew-Aruwm (Aw-room): Cunning (usually in a bad sense): crafty, subtil.

The Apostle Paul warns us....
II Corinthians 11:13-15 NLT
13 These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ.
14 But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
15 So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness.
In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve.

Revelation 13:11-14 KJV (John the Disciple.)
11 And I beheld another beast (False World Religious Leader) coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast (False World political Leader,Anti-Christ) before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast;

Exodus 7:12 KJV
For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

Yes...”Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments." Exodus 7:11 KJV

But...
Exodus 7:12 KJV
“but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.”

Psalm 62:11 KJV
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

Matthew 28:18 KJV
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Psalm 24:8
Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

Psalm 145:4
One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

The end of the deceiving serpent.....

Revelation 20:10,14,15 KJV
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are(Already have been for 1,000 years.), and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Acquittal

Bible Questions Answered:
“The bible says god forgives but how do you know?”
Tony/ Houston, Texas

Bible Answer:
Just as with salvation, we accept by faith, the inerrancy, and inspiration of the Word of God.

Psalm 19:7,8 NLT
7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8 The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.

II Timothy 3:16,17 NLT
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
17 God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.

II Peter 1:21 NLT
20 Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,
21 or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.

Proverbs 29:18 NLT
When people do not accept Divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.

Isaiah 8:20 NLT
Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict His word are completely in the dark.

I Thessalonians 2:13 KJV
For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

As we read the, God breathed, Word of God, faith will grow in our hearts.
Romans 10:17 KJV
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

FORGIVENESS:

Psalm 85:2 KJV
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

Psalm 103:1-4,11,12 KJV
1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies;
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.

Psalm 130:3,4 KJV
3 If thou, Lord, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Micah 7:19 KJV
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Matthew 6:14,15 KJV
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Acts 13:38,39 NLT
38 “Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this Man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins.
39 Everyone who believes in Him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do.

Ephesians 1:7 KJV
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;

Colossians 2:12-16 NLT
12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with Him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for He forgave all our sins.
14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
15 In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross.
16 So don’t let anyone condemn you..."

I John 1:5-10 KJV
5 This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the Truth:
7 But if we walk in the Light, as He is in the Light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

To all who receive the Lord Jesus as their Saviour and Lord, we read...

Luke 10:20 KJV
"...rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Revelation 3:5 KJV
He that over cometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.

And there is another thing promised by our Lord.

Revelation 2:17 KJV
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that over cometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

What is the significance of this white stone?
In ancient court, a judge would, at the end of a hearing, cast down either a black ball, or a white stone. A black ball, meant guilty, with its appropriate sentence. A white stone, meant, acquittal, not guilty.

The Christian is forgiven, acquitted of guilt, “not,” by anything he can possibly do (righteous or otherwise.), but by the blood of God's Son.

Isaiah 53:5,6 NLT
5 But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all.

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 5:8,9 KJV
8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

II Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For He (God the Father) hath made Him (Jesus Christ, His eternal Son) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (Through Jesus Christ).

Hebrews 9:28 KJV
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

I Peter 3:18 KJV
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Lot's Wife-Lessons From

Bible Questions Answered:
“Pastor I read Jesus said “remember lots wife”, but what is there to remember of her. She disobeyed, is that it?”
Brent/ New York, New York

Bible Answer:

Bible Text:
Luke 17:26-33 KJV
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Lot and his family's escape from Sodom.

Genesis 19:16,17,23-29 NLT (Be sure to read the whole story in Genesis chapter 19.)
16 When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful.
17 When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered, “Run for your lives!
And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”
23 Lot reached the village (Zoar) just as the sun was rising over the horizon.
24 Then the Lord rained down fire and burning sulfur from the sky on Sodom and Gomorrah.
25 He utterly destroyed them, along with the other cities and villages of the plain, wiping out all the people and every bit of vegetation.

26 But Lot’s wife looked back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt.

27 Abraham got up early that morning and hurried out to the place where he had stood in the Lord’s presence.
28 He looked out across the plain toward Sodom and Gomorrah and watched as columns of smoke rose from the cities like smoke from a furnace.
29 But God had listened to Abraham’s request and kept Lot safe, removing him from the disaster that engulfed the cities on the plain.

Lot's Wife:

She knew of the living God. Lot was Abraham's nephew.
No doubt, Lot had told her of his Uncles “call from God,” (Genesis 12:1-9).
Again, surely he related to her all the altars Abraham had erected to the living God.

Lot's wife with Lot and his daughters had been warned by the angels.

Genesis 19:15 NLT
At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent. “Hurry,” they said to Lot. “Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out right now, or you will be swept away in the destruction of the city!”

We may also remember that her love for the city, was greater than her obedience to the God, who had sent His angels to give them warning.

She looked back.
Disobedience, quickly brought it's reward, “she turned into a pillar of salt. (Verse 26)
She alone, had set her eternal course for the future.

Lessons:

We must take very carefully the Warnings of God's Word, and “not,” treat them lightly!
To do so, will be at our own peril, and there will be “no,” opportunity for turning back.

Jeremiah 6:10 NLT
To whom can I give warning? Who will listen when I speak? Their ears are closed, and they cannot hear. They scorn the word of the Lord.

Ezekiel 33:3-5 NLT
3 When the watchman sees the enemy coming, he sounds the alarm to warn the people.
4 Then if those who hear the alarm refuse to take action, it is their own fault if they die.
5 They heard the alarm but ignored it, so the responsibility is theirs. If they had listened to the warning, they could have saved their lives.

I John 2:15-17 KJV
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Our God is not blind, He sees every sin, and imagination of the heart.

Job 10:14 KJV
If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity.

Job 14:16 KJV
For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?

Job 34:21,22 KJV
21 For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He seeth all his goings.
22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Psalm 147:5 KJV
Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite.

Jeremiah 2:22 NLT
No amount of soap or lye can make you clean. I still see the stain of your guilt. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!

Jeremiah 16:17 KJV
For Mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from My face, neither is their iniquity hid from Mine eyes.

Ezekiel 11:5 NLT
Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon me, and He told me to say, “This is what the Lord says to the people of Israel: I know what you are saying, for I know every thought that comes into your minds.

Hosea 7:2 KJV
And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before My face.

Amos 5:12 KJV
For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins..."

I John 3:19-21 KJV
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

Judgment is sure:

Jeremiah 17:10 KJV
I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins (Motives), even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Ezekiel 3:20 NLT
"... they will die in their sins. None of their righteous acts will be remembered..."

John 3:18,19 NLT
18 “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.
19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s Light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the Light, for their actions were evil.

Hebrews 9:27 KJV
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

I Peter 1:17 KJV
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Revelation 22:12 KJV
And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Hebrews 3:15 KJV
While it is said, To day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts..."

Remedies-Spiritual

Bible Questions Answered:
“....it seems that people don't know how help themselves overcome all the things in their lives...”
Brennan/ Albany, New York

Bible Answer:

There is no question that the world doesn't have any answers, but that is “not,” true for God's child!

The world has no “overcoming answers,” instead lives in fear:

Psalm 14:4,5 KJV
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge?...and call not upon the Lord.
5 There were they in great fear..."

Luke 21:25,26 KJV
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Revelation 6:12-17 KJV
12 And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of His wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

God has “overcoming” answers for His people:

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Isaiah 43:1-3 KJV
1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee...and He that formed thee...Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour..."

For Overcoming Self-Righteousness:

Psalm 71:15,16 KJV

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalm 18:32 KJV

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

For Overcoming Loneliness:

Genesis 28:15 KJV (God's promise to Jacob, and to all His people.)
And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest...I will not leave thee.."

Exodus 33:14 KJV (God's promise to Moses and to all His people.)

Hebrews 13:5 KJV
"...for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

For Overcoming Danger:

Psalm 91:1-16 KJV
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my Refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because He hath set His love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him My salvation.

For Overcoming Worry:

Matthew 6:25-34 KJV
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

For Overcoming Rejection Of Others:

Psalm 27:10,14 KJV
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.
14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Proverbs 18:24 KJV
"...there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

John 8:31 KJV
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;

John 15:14,15 KJV
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of My Father I have made known unto you.

For Overcoming The Fear Of Growing Old:

Psalm 71:1,3,5-9,12-24 KJV
1  In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust..."
3 Be thou my strong habitation, where unto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my Rock and my Fortress.
5 For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
6 By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art He that took me out of my mother's bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.
7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong Refuge.
8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honor all the day.
9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.
12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, make haste for my help.
13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my hurt.
14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord God: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.
18 Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.
19 Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee!
20 Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
21 Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
22 I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
23 My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.
24 My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long:

Isaiah 46:3,4 NLT
3 “Listen to me...I have cared for you since you were born. Yes, I carried you before you were born.
4 I will be your God throughout your lifetime— until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.

For Overcoming The Fear Of Forgiveness:

Psalm 51:1-19 KJV (David's prayer of repentance.)
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free Spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14 Deliver me from blood guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Psalm 103:1-3,12 KJV
1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities...
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.

These are but a few of the many, many wonderful "overcoming" promises to the children of God. Read your Bible every day, to find them all!

Romans 12:21 KJV
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

I John 2:13,14 KJV

Revelation 2:26 KJV
And he that over cometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Revelation 3:5 KJV
He that over cometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.

Revelation 3:12 KJV
Him that over cometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and I will write upon him My new name.

Revelation 12:11 KJV
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of The Old Testament: Moses Leprous Hand Healed

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of The Old Testament: Moses Leprous Hand Healed.

Occasion: The Revelation Of God's Power.

Location: Horeb.

Bible Text: Exodus 4:5-8 KJV
5 That they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.
6 And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
7 And He said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

One may read of the terrible plague of leprosy in Leviticus 13:1-46.

Leviticus 13:1-3 NLT
1 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,
2 “If anyone has a swelling or a rash or discolored skin that might develop into a serious skin disease,[a] that person must be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons.
3 The priest will examine the affected area of the skin. If the hair in the affected area has turned white and the problem appears to be more than skin-deep, it is a serious skin disease, and the priest who examines it must pronounce the person ceremonially unclean.

Leviticus 13:45,46 NLT
45 “Those who suffer from a serious skin disease must tear their clothing and leave their hair uncombed. They must cover their mouth and call out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’
46 As long as the serious disease lasts, they will be ceremonially unclean. They must live in isolation in their place outside the camp.

Leprosy, was a terrible flesh eating disease. God's people had to be protected at all costs from such a plague, and so God gave Moses and Aaron their guide lines of protection.

God gave a Moses and Aaron a second miraculous sign to show Pharaoh, that God was with them.
It was the terrible sign of leprosy.

Exodus 4:6-8 KJV
6 And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.
7 And He said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.
8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

The Priest, was the one to determine if one was “unclean,” with disease.
In Biblical Typology, leprosy, is a “type of spreading spiritual disease, the disease of “sin”.

As in leprosy, sin gives misery.

Job 15:20 NLT
“The wicked writhe in pain throughout their lives. Years of trouble are stored up for the ruthless.

Psalm 107:17 KJV
Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Proverbs 6:33 KJV
A wound and dishonor shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.

Proverbs 13:15 NLT
A person with good sense is respected; a treacherous person is headed for destruction.

Proverbs 11:19 KJV
As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.

Proverbs 23:29,30 KJV
29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.

Isaiah 1:4-6 NLT
4 Oh, what a sinful nation they are loaded down with a burden of guilt. They are evil people, corrupt children who have rejected the Lord. They have despised the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on Him.
5 Why do you continue to invite punishment? Must you rebel forever? Your head is injured, and your heart is sick.
6 You are battered from head to foot— covered with bruises, welts, and infected wounds— without any soothing ointments or bandages.

Jeremiah 30:12,13 NLT
12 This is what the Lord says: “Your injury is incurable— a terrible wound.
13 There is no one to help you or to bind up your injury. No medicine can heal you.

Ezekiel 18:4 KJV
"...the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Romans 2:9 NLT
There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile.

Romans 3:16-18 NLT
16 Destruction and misery always follow them.
17 They don’t know where to find peace.”
18 They have no fear of God at all.

II Timothy 3:13 KJV
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Today there is a Priest, who determines spiritual disease and death, it our High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ our High Priest:

Hebrews 4:14-16 KJV
14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 7:26 KJV
For such an High Priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Hebrews 8:1 KJV
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an High Priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

What is it, that our Priest has concluded?

Isaiah 53:6 KJV
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans 3:23 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Galatians 3:22 KJV
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin..."

I John 1:8,9 KJV
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We have the disease. The life taking disease of sin.
What is the remedy, shall we be forever unclean outcasts, without hope?

John 3:16-18 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

II Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I Corinthians 1:18 KJV
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

John 10:28 KJV
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Dear friend, call on a Priest, that not only can diagnose the disease of sin, but who can cleanse it!

Psalm 51:2 KJV
Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Mark 1:42 KJV
And as soon as He (Jesus) had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

I John 1:7 KJV
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

I John 1:9 KJV
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
