lips giving thanks to His name.
The Jew under the
Old Covenant, sacrificed animals to atone for (cover) sin.
The Christian is
pardoned, and cleansed by The Living Word, The Lord Jesus Christ,
God's Son.
II Corinthians

For He (God The Father) hath made
Him (God's Son, Jesus Christ) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that
we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
Ephesians 5:2

If The Lord Jesus
offered His own life as a perfect sacrifice for our sins, and He did,
what may we offer then?
