Guilty-Before God.
Bible Questions Answered:
“...I tried to witness to a girl I
have known for some time, and she blew up and said she was not a
sinner. She said she has never blasphemed God, stolen, hated or
lusted and on. So I didn't know what to say about that....”

Bible Answer:
In Matthew chapter four, the Devil came
to Jesus, to tempt Him, to do what was wrong. Three times Jesus over
came his tempter, by quoting The Word of God.
This is such a splendid point, why we
should do our best to read, and remember the inerrant Word Of God.
When someone claims to be sinless,
quote to them The Word.
Sin: Offense against God,
religion or good morals.

Rejection
Bible Questions Answered:
“...as Christians we see, church less
people, gays, drinkers, so many hating Christian people because we
believe the Bible that says sinful practices are evil and wrong and
rejecting the Lord means hell. Are Christians going to be hated more

Bible Answer:
Two thousand years ago....
Acts 19:8-10,23-41 NLT (Paul at
Ephesus.)
8 Then Paul went to the synagogue
and preached boldly for the next three months, arguing persuasively
about the Kingdom of God.
9 But some became stubborn,
rejecting his message and publicly speaking against the Way.
So Paul left the synagogue and took the believers with him. Then he
held daily discussions at the lecture hall of Tyrannus.
10 This went on for the next two
years, so that people throughout the province of Asia—both Jews and
Greeks—heard the word of The Lord.
(A Riot takes place in Ephesus.)
23 About that time, serious
trouble developed in Ephesus concerning The Way.
24 It began with Demetrius, a
silversmith who had a large business manufacturing silver shrines of
the Greek goddess Artemis. He kept many craftsmen busy.
25 He called them together, along
with others employed in similar trades, and addressed them as
follows:
“Gentlemen, you know that our
wealth comes from this business.
26 But as you have seen and heard,
this man Paul has persuaded many people that handmade gods aren’t
really gods at all. And he’s done this not only here in Ephesus but
throughout the entire province!
27 Of course, I’m not just talking
about the loss of public respect for our business. I’m also
concerned that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will lose its
influence and that Artemis—this magnificent goddess worshiped
throughout the province of Asia and all around the world—will be
robbed of her great prestige!”
28 At this their anger boiled,
and they began shouting, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”
29 Soon the whole city was filled
with confusion. Everyone rushed to the amphitheater, dragging along
Gaius and Aristarchus, who were Paul’s traveling companions from
Macedonia.
30 Paul wanted to go in, too, but
the believers wouldn’t let him.
31 Some of the officials of the
province, friends of Paul, also sent a message to him, begging him
not to risk his life by entering the amphitheater.
32 Inside, the people were all
shouting, some one thing and some another. Everything was in
confusion. In fact, most of them didn’t even know why they were
there.
33 The Jews in the crowd pushed
Alexander forward and told him to explain the situation. He motioned
for silence and tried to speak.
34 But when the crowd realized he
was a Jew, they started shouting again and kept it up for about two
hours: “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians! Great is Artemis of the
Ephesians!”
35 At last the mayor was able to
quiet them down enough to speak. “Citizens of Ephesus,” he said.
“Everyone knows that Ephesus is the official guardian of the temple
of the great Artemis, whose image fell down to us from heaven.
36 Since this is an undeniable fact,
you should stay calm and not do anything rash.
37 You have brought these men here,
but they have stolen nothing from the temple and have not spoken
against our goddess.
38 “If Demetrius and the craftsmen
have a case against them, the courts are in session and the officials
can hear the case at once. Let them make formal charges.
39 And if there are complaints about
other matters, they can be settled in a legal assembly.
40 I am afraid we are in danger of
being charged with rioting by the Roman government, since there is no
cause for all this commotion. And if Rome demands an explanation, we
won’t know what to say.”
41 Then he dismissed them, and they
dispersed.
The Apostle Paul was stoned to death in
Lystra, by his enemies, resurrected back to life, and his preaching
and teaching ended when in Rome he was beheaded for his faith.
The Rejection of God:
I Samuel 8:7 KJV
And The Lord
said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that
they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they
have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.
II Chronicles
30:6-10 NLT
6 At the king’s
command, runners were sent throughout Israel and Judah. They carried
letters that said:
“O people of
Israel, return to The Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and
Israel, so that He will return to the few of us who have survived the
conquest of the Assyrian kings.
7 Do not be
like your ancestors and relatives who abandoned The Lord, The God of
their ancestors, and became an object of derision, as you yourselves
can see.
8 Do not be
stubborn, as they were, but submit yourselves to The Lord.
Come to His Temple, which He has set apart as holy forever. Worship
The Lord your God so that His fierce anger will turn away from
you.
9 “For if you
return to The Lord, your relatives and your children will be
treated mercifully by their captors, and they will be able to return
to this land. For The Lord your God is gracious and merciful. If you
return to Him, He will not continue to turn His face from
you.”
10 The runners
went from town to town throughout Ephraim and Manasseh and as far as
the territory of Zebulun. But most of the people just laughed at
the runners and made fun of them.
II Chronicles
36:15,16 NLT
15 The Lord,
the God of their ancestors, repeatedly sent His prophets to warn
them, for He had compassion on His people and His Temple.
16 But the
people mocked these messengers of God and despised their words. They
scoffed at the prophets until
The Lord’s
anger could no longer be restrained and nothing could be done.
Psalm 50:17 NLT
For you refuse
My discipline and treat My words like trash.
Psalm 81:11 KJV
But My people
would not hearken to My voice; and Israel would none of Me.
Proverbs 1:7,24 KJV
7 The fear of
The Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom
and instruction.
24 Because I
have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out My hand, and
no man regarded;
Isaiah 5:24 NLT
24 Therefore,
just as fire licks up stubble and dry grass shrivels in the flame,
so their roots
will rot and their flowers wither. For they have rejected the law
of The Lord Of Heaven’s Armies they have despised The Word
of The Holy One Of Israel.
Jeremiah 6:10
NLT
To whom can I
give warning? Who will listen when I speak? Their ears are closed,
and they cannot hear. They scorn The Word Of The Lord. They don’t
want to listen at all.
Jeremiah
36:16-25 NLT (King Jehoiakim burns The Lord's
warnings, to repent.)
16 When they
heard all the messages, they looked at one another in alarm. “We
must tell the king what we have heard,” they said to Baruch.
17 “But
first, tell us how you got these messages. Did they come directly
from Jeremiah?”
18 So Baruch
explained, “Jeremiah dictated them, and I wrote them down in ink,
word for word, on this scroll.”
19 “You and
Jeremiah should both hide,” the officials told Baruch. “Don’t
tell anyone where you are!”
20 Then the
officials left the scroll for safekeeping in the room of Elishama the
secretary and went to tell the king what had happened.
21 The king
sent Jehudi to get the scroll. Jehudi brought it from Elishama’s
room and read it to the king as all his officials stood by.
22 It was late
autumn, and the king was in a winterized part of the palace, sitting
in front of a fire to keep warm.
23 Each time
Jehudi finished reading three or four columns, the king took a
knife and cut off that section of the scroll. He then threw it into
the fire, section by section, until the whole scroll was burned up.
24 Neither the
king nor his attendants showed any signs of fear or repentance at
what they heard.
25 Even when
Elnathan, Delaiah, and Gemariah begged the king not to burn the
scroll, he wouldn’t listen.
Zechariah
7:11,12 NLT
11 “Your
ancestors refused to listen to this message. They
stubbornly turned away and put their fingers in their ears to keep
from hearing.
12 They made
their hearts as hard as stone, so they could not hear the
instructions or the messages that The Lord Of Heaven’s Armies had
sent them by His Spirit through the earlier prophets. That is why
The Lord Of Heaven’s Armies was so angry with them.

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God,
than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the
treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the
reward.
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea,
moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were
slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and
goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts,
and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
James 5:10,11 KJV
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for
them which thou hast given Me; for they are thine.
10 And all Mine are thine, and thine are Mine; and I am glorified
in them.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world,
and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those
whom thou hast given Me, that they may be one, as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name:
those that thou gavest Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but
the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the
world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them,
because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world,
but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17 Sanctify them through thy Truth: thy Word is Truth.
18 As thou hast sent Me into the world, even so have I also
sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also might be
sanctified through The Truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which
shall believe on Me through their word;
21 That
they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in Me, and I in thee, that
they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast
sent Me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest Me I have given them; that
they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in
one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent Me, and hast
loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given Me, be
with Me where I am; that they may behold My glory, which thou hast
given Me: for thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world.
25 O Righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have
known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent Me.
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it:
that the love wherewith thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I
in them.

Fornication
Bible Questions Answered:
“My boy friend and I have been going
together for over a year now, and he wants us to have sex. I don't
think this is ok, but I am confused on the whole issue.....”

Bible Answer:
Here is what the Apostle Paul told the
Thessalonians.
I Thessalonians 4:1-12 NLT
1 Finally, dear brothers and
sisters, we urge you in the name of The Lord Jesus to live in a
way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way
already, and we encourage you to do so even more.
2 For you remember what we taught
you by the authority of The Lord Jesus.
3 God’s will is for you to be
holy* (Sanctification KJV) , so stay away from all sexual
sin.
4 Then each of you will control his
own body and live in holiness* and honor—
5 not in lustful passion like the
pagans who do not know God and His ways.
6 Never harm or cheat a Christian
brother in this matter by violating his wife, for The Lord avenges
all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before.
7 God has called us to live
holy*(Holiness - KJV) lives, not impure lives.
8 Therefore, anyone who refuses to
live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting
God, who gives His Holy Spirit to you.
9 But we don’t need to write to
you about the importance of loving each other, for God Himself has
taught you to love one another.
10 Indeed, you already show your
love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear
brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more.
11 Make it your goal to live a quiet
life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as
we instructed you before.
12 Then people who are not
Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to
depend on others.
*Holy, Holiness-(Sanctification -

Exodus 20:14 KJV
Thou shalt not
commit adultery.
Proverbs 6:32,33 KJV
32 But whoso committeth adultery
with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth
his own soul.
33 A wound and dishonor shall he
get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away.
Matthew 5:27,28
KJV
27 Ye have
heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit
adultery:
28 But I say
unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath
committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matthew 15:19 KJV
For out of the heart proceed evil
thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts,
false witness, blasphemies:
Romans 1:28-32 KJV
(Notice the group, fornicators are grouped in.)
28 And even as they did not like to
retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a
reprobate 0mind, to do those things which are
not convenient;
29 Being filled with all
unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness*; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity*;
whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God,
despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to
parents,
31 Without understanding, covenant
breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God,

the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
*Maliciousness-Greek:

shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:
neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
effeminate (homosexuality), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the
kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye
are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name
of the Lord Jesus, and by The Spirit of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me,
but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I
will not be brought under the power of any.
13"...the body is not
for fornication, but for The Lord; and The Lord for the body.
18 Flee fornication. Every
sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth
fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your
body is The Temple Of The Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye
have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are
God's.
Galatians 5:19-21 KJV
19 Now the works of the flesh are

things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Zelos (Dzay-los): Heat, i.e. zeal (in a favorable sense, ardor;
in an unfavorable one, jealousy, as of a husband , or an enemy,
malice): emulation, envy, fervent mind, indignation, jealousy, zeal.
Ephesians 5:3 KJV
But fornication, and all
uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you,
as becometh saints;
Colossians 3:5 NLT
So put to death the sinful,
earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual
immorality (fornication KJV), impurity, lust, and evil
desires..."
Jude 1:7 KJV
Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the
cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to
fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for
an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
II Peter 2:12-14
NLT
12 These false teachers are like
unthinking animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and
destroyed. They scoff at things they do not understand, and like
animals, they will be destroyed.
13 Their destruction is their reward
for the harm they have done. They love to indulge in evil pleasures
in broad daylight. They are a disgrace and a stain among you. They
delight in deception even as they eat with you in your fellowship
meals.
14 They commit adultery with their
eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable
people into sin, and they are well trained in greed. They live under
God’s curse.
I Corinthians 6:18 KJV
Flee fornication.
Every sin that a man doeth is
without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth
against his own body.

Witnessing To Those Around Us
Bible Questions Answered:
“...so I have witnessed to this man
at the shop for over a year but I don't see anything taking hold. Is
there a time when we say enough and just move on so to speak?”
Cael/ Oslo, Norway
Bible Answer:
Our Lord, always warned the wicked, and
never stopped warning them.
We need to be a people of “faith.”
Prayers are not always answered in the time space we appreciate, but
in God's time and requirements.
Jesus said....
Matthew 7:7,8 KJV
7 Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh
receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it
shall be opened.
The import here, is that of insistent
spiritual exercise of faith! When one believes for something, if it
is worthy of believing for at all, when is the proper time to stop
believing? Never, for if it was of any significance, it is right and
proper to go on believing for it.
We may sow the seed, Jesus told us, but
another may reap the harvest. The wonderful thing is that the seed
took root, grew and produced the fruit God had intended!
John 4:34-38 KJV
34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is
to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four
months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your
eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth
wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that
soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true,
One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon
ye bestowed no labor: other men labored, and ye are entered into
their labors.
Keep witnessing The
Word Of The Lord, if you can, and if you can't, because this
individual doesn't want that, remember you can always minister to
others through “The Fruits Of The Spirit.”
Galatians
5:22,23 KJV
22 But The Fruit Of The Spirit is
love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance:
Ephesians 5:9
KJV
(For The Fruit Of The Spirit is in
all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Whatever you do, saints of God, keep sowing the seed of God's Word!
BRINGING IN THE
SHEAVES
Sowing in the
morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the
noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the
harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come
rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Refrain
Bringing in the
sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come
rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,
Bringing in the
sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come
rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves,
Sowing in the
sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither
clouds nor winter’s chilling breeze;
By and by the
harvest, and the labor ended,
We shall come
rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Refrain
Going forth with
weeping, sowing for the Master,
Though the loss
sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping’s
over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come
rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

labors; and their works do follow them.

Bible Lesson: Miracles Of The Old Testament: Miraculous Supply Of Oil.
Bible Lesson: Miracles Of The Old
Testament: Miraculous Supply Of
Oil.
Occasion: Miracle
Of God Delivers Widow From Debt.
Location: Moab
Bible Text:
II Kings 4:1-7 NLT
1 One day the widow of a member of
the group of prophets (the sons of the prophets - KJV) came to
Elisha and cried out, “My husband who served you is dead, and you
know how he feared The Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening
to take my two sons as slaves.”
2 “What can I do to help you?”
Elisha asked. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?”
“Nothing at all, except a flask of
olive oil,” she replied.
3 And Elisha said, “Borrow as many
empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors.
4 Then go into your house with your
sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask
into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.”
5 So she did as she was told. Her
sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another.
6 Soon every container was full to
the brim! “Bring me another jar,” she said to one of her sons.
“There aren’t any more!” he told her. And then the olive oil
stopped flowing.
7 When she told the man of God what
had happened, he said to her, “Now sell the olive oil and pay your
debts, and you and your sons can live on what is left over.”
1 One day the widow of a member
of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out, “My husband
who served you is dead, and you know how he feared The Lord. But now
a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.”
Leviticus
25:39-41 NLT
39 “If one of your fellow
Israelites falls into poverty and is forced to sell himself to you,
do not treat him as a slave.
40 Treat him instead as a hired
worker or as a temporary resident who lives with you, and he will
serve you only until the Year of Jubilee.
41 At that time he and his children
will no longer be obligated to you, and they will return to their
clans and go back to the land originally allotted to their ancestors.
A widow and her two
sons were in deep poverty, so much so that her creditor wished to
take her two sons and make them slaves. Her husband had been a Godly
man, a prophet and a member of the sons of the prophets.
What would Elisha
do?
2 “What can I do to help you?”
Elisha asked. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?”
“Nothing at all, except a flask
of olive oil,” she replied.
3 And Elisha said, “Borrow as
many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors.
4 Then go into your house with
your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your
flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.”
What was it the Lord told Moses...
Exodus 14:15,16
KJV
15 And The Lord
said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto Me? speak unto the
children of Israel, that they go forward:
16 But lift
thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and
divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through
the midst of the sea.
Genesis 18:14
KJV (The Lord asked Abraham...)
Is any thing
too hard for the Lord?
The Supernatural is only Natural, with God, for He lives in the
Supernatural.
What do you have? God uses what we have, if we give it to Him.
2 “What can I do to help you?”
Elisha asked. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?”
“Nothing at all, except a flask
of olive oil,” she replied.
Elisha had a plan...
Exodus 14:16 KJV
But lift
thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea
God would make a miracle out of what the widow had. All she had was
oil, but that would be enough.
5 So she did as she was told. Her
sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another.
6 Soon every container was full
to the brim! “Bring me another jar,” she said to one of her sons.
“There aren’t any more!” he told her. And then the olive oil
stopped flowing.
II Kings 4:3 KJV
Then he
(Elisha) said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy
neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
One is reminded of the song written long ago by Leila N.
Morris.
Are you longing for the fullness
Of the blessing of the Lord
In your heart and life today?
Claim the promise of your Father;
Come according to His Word,
In the blessèd, old time way.
Refrain
He will fill your heart today to overflowing.
As the Lord commandeth you,
“Bring your vessels, not a few.”
He will fill your heart today to overflowing
With the Holy Ghost and power.
Bring your empty earthen vessels,
Clean through Jesus’ precious blood.
Come, ye needy, one and all;
And in human consecration
Wait before the throne of God
Till the Holy Ghost shall fall.
Refrain
Like the cruse of oil unfailing
Is His grace forevermore,
And His love unchanging still;
And according to His promise,
With the Holy Ghost and power
He will every vessel fill.
Refrain

Oil, in Biblical typology is a symbol of God The Holy Spirit. When
Kings and Prophets were anointed, oil was poured on their heads as a
sign of their being consecrated to the Lord.
Leviticus
8:10,12 KJV
10 And Moses
took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was
therein, and sanctified them.
12 And he
poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to
sanctify him.
Dear friend, is your vessel, your life, filled with the precious presence of God? Filled to overflowing?
I Corinthians
6:19,20 KJV
19 What? know
ye not that your body is the temple (vessel)
of The Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are
not your own?
20 For ye are
bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your
spirit, which are God's.
Psalm 23:5 KJV
Thou preparest
a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my
head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Matthew 25:1-13
KJV (This parable told by
Jesus.)
1 Then shall
the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their
lamps, and went forth to meet
The Bridegroom.
2 And five of
them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that
were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise
took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While The
Bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at
midnight there was a cry made, Behold, The Bridegroom cometh; go
ye out to meet Him.
7 Then all
those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the
foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are
gone out.
9 But the wise
answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you:
but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while
they went to buy, The Bridegroom came; and they that were ready
went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward
came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But He
answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch
therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein The Son
Of Man cometh.
Hebrews 1:9 KJV
Thou hast loved
righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath
anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

First Love
Bible Questions Answered:
“....what is the first love, and how
was it lost?”
Carrie/ Oslo, Norway
Bible Answer:
Bible Text:
Revelation 2:1-7 KJV
1 Unto the angel of the church of
Ephesus write; These things saith He that holdeth the seven stars in
His right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden
candlesticks (lamp
stands);
2 I know thy works, and thy labor,
and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil:
and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not,
and hast found them liars:
3 And hast borne, and hast patience,
and for My name's sake hast labored, and hast not fainted.
4 Nevertheless I have somewhat
against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5 Remember therefore from whence
thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will
come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his
place, except thou repent.
6 But this thou hast, that thou
hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear
what The Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that over cometh will
I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the
paradise of God.
The church at
Ephesus, was founded by the Apostle Paul, a place very near and dear
to his heart. Though he faced opposition, for three years he labored
there.
In this
congregation were Aquila and Priscilla and Timothy.
The Apostle John
received this revelation from the Lord on the Isle of Patmos, later
he would reside in Ephesus.
The Ephesian
believers had been zealous. They became a great description of what a
Christian Church should be.
6 But this thou hast, that thou
hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.
The Devil and his
emissaries, have, as their sought after place of occupation, the
church of Jesus Christ.
The Nicolaitanes, a
group infiltrating the church, were those who turned Christian
freedom and liberty into a spiritual license to be in the flesh. They
demanded sensuality, heathen customs, and immorality, as part of
worship.
In the Ephesian
church, somewhere between all their patience and labor, the worst
thing had happened.
They had grown
spiritually superior, and mechanical, while their zealous love of the
Master, had grown cold.
5 Remember therefore from whence
thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will
come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his
place, except thou repent.
(Remember therefore from whence thou
art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; )
Christians, just being
spiritually correct is “not,” enough!
Ecclesiastes
7:20 KJV
For there is not a just man upon
earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
Isaiah 53:6 KJV
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way; and The Lord hath laid on
Him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing,
and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do
fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us
away.
Ephesians 2:8,9
KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is The Gift Of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should
boast.
Titus 3:5,6 KJV
5 Not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by
the washing of regeneration, and renewing of The Holy Ghost;
6 Which He shed on us abundantly
through Jesus Christ our Savior;
I John 1:8 KJV
If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and The Truth is not in us.
Romans 3:9,10,23
KJV
9 What then? are we better than
they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and
Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is
none righteous, no, not one:
23 For all have sinned, and
come short of the glory of God;
I Corinthians
10:12 KJV
Wherefore let him that thinketh he
standeth take heed lest he fall.
Galatians 3:22 KJV
But the scripture hath concluded
all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be
given to them that believe.
Philippians
3:12-14 NLT
12 I don’t mean to say that I have
already achieved these things or that I have already reached
perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection
for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.
13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I
have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the
past and looking forward to what lies ahead,
14 I press on to reach
the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God,
through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Hebrews 12:1-4
NLT
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded
by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip
off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so
easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God
has set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on
Jesus, The Champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of
the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame.
Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
3 Think of all the hostility He
endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give
up.
4 After all, you have not yet given
your lives in your struggle against sin.
The Christian
faith, is opposing sin, is full of patience, is of labors and
correction, but one thing more than all! The Christian faith is
“DYNAMIC,” and not “static.” And that is how we must be in our adoration of The Living,
Loving Savior.
Christians, should never rest on their laurels, (i.e. past
accomplishments), while growing cold in love to The One who made our
salvation possible!
Christians we must
carefully maintain that “first love,” relationship with our
precious Lord!
Deuteronomy 4:29
KJV
But if from thence thou shalt seek
The Lord thy God, thou shalt find Him, if thou seek Him with all thy
heart and with all thy soul.
II Chronicles
15:15 KJV
And all Judah rejoiced...with all
their heart, and sought Him with their whole desire; and He was found
of them: and The Lord gave them rest round about.
Psalm 18:1 KJV
I will love thee, O Lord, my
Strength.
Psalm 34:18 KJV
The Lord is nigh unto them that are
of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Psalm 42:1,2 NLT
1 As the deer longs for streams of
water, so I long for you, O God.
2 I thirst for God, The Living
God..."
Psalm 73:25 KJV
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and
there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
Psalm 84:2 KJV
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth
for the courts of The Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for The
Living God.
Psalm 116:1,2
KJV
1 I love The Lord, because He hath
heard my voice and my supplications.
2 Because He hath inclined His ear
unto me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live.
Psalm 119:2 KJV
Blessed are they that keep His
testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart.

locket around your neck, wear my ring on your finger. Love is
invincible facing danger and death. Passion laughs at the terrors of
hell. The fire of love stops at nothing— it sweeps everything
before it. Flood waters can’t drown love, torrents of rain can’t
put it out. Love can’t be bought, love can’t be sold— it’s
not to be found in the marketplace.
Matthew 5:6 KJV
Blessed are they which do hunger and
thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Hebrews 6:10-12
NLT
10 For God is not unjust. He will
not forget how hard you have worked for Him and how you have shown
your love to Him by caring for other believers, as you still do.
11 Our great desire is that you will
keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain
that what you hope for will come true.
12 Then you will not become
spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the
example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of
their faith and endurance.
