Bible Questions Answered:
“Yes I'm a Christian, so what is my duty to any church or others?...”
Hillary/ Chicago, Illinois  U.S.A.

Bible Answer:

Bible Texts:

Responsibilities Of The Christian:

“Salt Of The Earth”

 Matthew 5:13 NLT
“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

What's it mean? Salt is used as a preservative....

Salt:
A chemical substance used to preserve foods or other organic materials from decomposition or fermentation.
Dictionary.Com

As God;'s salt in  the world, we are to stand against ...
Sin, and for Righteousness
Immorality, and for Morality
Dishonesty, and for Honesty
Hatrerd, and for Love
Miserliness, and for Generosity
Etc. etc....

“Light Of The World”

Matthew 5:14-16 NLT
14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father.

We all at one time lived  in spiritual darkness! Then one day we saw “The Light,” that was made possible through the faithfulness one of God's children.
We, having received The Precious Messiah as our Lord and Savior, are to be the same means of passing on that Light, that was passed on to us, to someone else!

Do we have any responsibility to them? Someone in faithfulness, thought it their duty to pass the Light on to us.

Mark 16:15 KJV
And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach The Gospel to every creature.

“Epistles Of Christ”

II Corinthians 3:3 NLT
Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with The Spirit Of The Living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.

Question: What Gospel, does the world read every day?
Answer: The Gospel, we live, as Christians!

What have they read today? That our Lord is honest, enduring, faithful, loving, caring, faithful, generous, concerned, etc. etc.

Your Epistle is open to scrutiny, what are others thinking about the Christian faith because of your gospel message?

“Fruit Bearing Branches”

John 15:8 KJV
Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples.

Our lives are to bring forth, spiritual fruit.

Matthew 13:23 NLT (Matthew 1-23)
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth The Word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Galatians 5:22,23 KJV
22 But the fruit of The Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Galatians 6:9 KJV
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
James 5:7,8 NLT (Patience and Endurance)
7 Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for The Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.
8 You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of The Lord is near.

 “Witnesses”

Isaiah 43:10 KJV
Ye are My witnesses, saith The Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me.

Matthew 10:32,33 KJV
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:15,16 KJV
15 And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that The Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

No! There is not such a thing as a closet, Christian! Our Lord went publically to the cross for us, and the very least we can do is to confess to others, He is The Savior!

Romans 10:10 NLT
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

“Servants”

John 13:12-16 KJV
12 So after He had washed their feet, and had taken His garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call Me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

The Master,  our example.

Matthew 5:38-42 NLT
38 “You have heard The Law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’
39 But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also.
40 If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too.
41 If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles.
42 Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to borrow.

Luke 22:24-30 NLT
24 Then they began to argue among themselves about who would be the greatest among them.
25 Jesus told them, “In this world the kings and great men lord it over their people, yet they are called ‘friends of the people.’
26 But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.
27 Who is more important, the one who sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves.
28 “You have stayed with me in my time of trial. 29 And just as my Father has granted me a Kingdom, I now grant you the right 30 to eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. And you will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

I Corinthians 4:1 NLT
So look at Apollos and me as mere servants of Christ who have been put in charge of explaining God’s mysteries.

Philippians 2:5-8 NLT
5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
6 Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
7 Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When He appeared in human form,
8  He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Prayer:

Matthew 16:24 KJV
Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
