Bible Questions Answered:
“...is it true that the bodies that go to heaven, will not be flesh and blood bodies?...”
Warren/ Memphis, Tennessee U.S.A.

mnBible Answer:

Bible Texts:
The verse being referred to is...

I Corinthians 15:50 KJV
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

I Corinthians 15:50 NLT
What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.

The KJV phrase “ flesh and blood,” refers to the earthly perishable, mortal bodies that we now have.
Yes, the Apostle Paul states, this body cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven.
The answer is...

I Corinthians 15:51-56 NLT
51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed!
52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.
53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.
54 Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In the above description, the Apostle is describing is The Great Catching Away of God's people, called The Rapture.

But now before The Rapture, when a Christian dies, he goes immediately into the presence of The Lord.

Luke 16:19-31 KJV (The story of the Rich Man and Lazarus, as told by Jesus, not a parable (although called one), contains the names of real people)
19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Questions, questions!
*Does adherence to poverty, bring with it righteousness, and worldly riches damnation?
*Is there such a thing as “Future Compensation?”
*Is there such a thing a “purgatory,” where through suffering, lost souls, “seek the things of
God? Second Chance Salvation?”
*Is there life after death?
*Is the eternal body, (In spirit or body form,) much different than the earthly one?
*Is there a judgment after death?
*Does God really send people to hell, a place of eternal torment?
*Etc. etc. etc. etc.......

For The Christian...

II Corinthians 5:8 KJV
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with The Lord.
(As was Godly Lazarus.)

Philippians 1:21-24 NLT
21 For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.
22 But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better.
23 I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me.
g24 But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live.

For those who do not know The Lord, their story will be as that of The Rich Man in Luke 16, forever lost.

Christians who are working for their Lord today, have this promise to look forward to.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18 NLT (The Hope of the Resurrection)
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with Him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from The Lord: We who are still living when The Lord returns will not meet Him ahead of those who have died.
16 For The Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.
17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet The Lord in the air. Then we will be with The Lord forever.
18 So encourage each other with these words.

Yes, tis true,

I Corinthians 15:50 KJV “... flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God...”
But the transformed, glorified body, of God's people can!

The important thing today is, do you know The Lord, are you saved?

What Jesus said...

Mark 16:16 KJV
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 3:17 KJV
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 10:9-11 KJV
9 I am The Door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have Life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am The Good Shepherd: The Good Shepherd giveth His Life for the sheep.

Dear friend, are you “saved”?

Prayer:

Acts 2:21 KJV
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 16:30,31 KJV
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
