Physical Bodies - In Heaven Will We Have
Bible Questions Answered:
“...what kind of body will we have in
heaven...?”

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
Christians who pass on, now before the
rapture of the church, will have a spiritual body in heaven.
(To them, this body is as real, or even
more real than the body they had on earth, but for them, the best is
yet to come.)
Ecclesiastes 12:6,7 NLT
6 Yes, remember your Creator now
while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the
golden bowl is broken. Don’t wait until the water jar is smashed at
the spring and the pulley is broken at the well.
7 For then the dust will return to
the earth, and
the spirit will return to God
who gave it.
Luke 23:46 GNT
Jesus cried out in a loud voice,
“Father! In your hands I place My Spirit!” He said this
and died.
Acts 7:59 KJV
And they stoned Stephen, calling
upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
James 2:26 KJV
For as the body without the
spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Some mistakenly
think that, upon death, we will have a body like the risen Lord.
Luke 24:39,40
KJV
39 Behold My hands and My feet, that
it is I Myself: handle Me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and
bones, as ye see Me have.
40 And when He had thus spoken, He
shewed them His hands and His feet.
This
thinking is incorrect, because this was our Lord's risen
Glorified body.
Christians will
not receive a glorified body, until the rapture of the church!
Then we will have a
glorified body as He has.
I John 3:2 KJV
(At the rapture)
Beloved, now are we the sons of God,
and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that,
when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as
He is.
I Corinthians
15:41-58 KJV (At the rapture)
41 There is one glory of the sun,
and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for
one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of
the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonor; it is
raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it
is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a
spiritual body.
45 And so it is written, The first
man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening
spirit.
46 Howbeit that was not first which
is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is
spiritual.
47 The first man is of the earth,
earthy; The Second Man is The Lord from heaven.
48 As is the earthy, such are they
also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that
are heavenly.
49 And as we have borne the image of
the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that
flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth
corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We
shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of
an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead
shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put
on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall
have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on
immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is
written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O
grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and
the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which
giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren,
be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of
The Lord, forasmuch as ye know that
your labor is not in vain in The Lord.
There are three
forms of mankind in heaven.
First are, Spirits
of just men made perfect.”
Hebrews 12:23
KJV
To the general assembly and church
of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God The Judge
Of All, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Then there are two
men who are in their earthly bodies, still, having never died, and
yet taken to heaven, Enoch and Elijah.
And thirdly there
is our risen Savior The Lord Jesus, in His Glorified body.
No doubt the saints
in heaven, look at these three groups (Including themselves) and
say.... Spirits of the just, that is what we are.
Elijah and Enoch,
that is what we were on earth (human body).
Glorified Lord
Jesus, this is what we too will one day be at the rapture!
Prayer:
John 1;12,13 KJV
12 But as many as received Him, to
them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that
believe on His name:
13 Which were born, not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 3:36 KJV
He
that believeth on The Son hath everlasting Life: and he that
believeth not The Son shall not see Life; but the wrath of God
abideth on him.
