One Hundred And Forty Four Thousand
Bible Questions Answered:
“...who are these 144,000 peoples
mentioned in Revelation 7?...”
Zena/ Nairobi, Kenya Africa
Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:
Revelation 7:1-8
NKJV
1 After these things I saw four
angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four
winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on
the sea, or on any tree.
2 Then I saw another angel ascending
from the east, having the seal of The Living God. And he cried
with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm
the earth and the sea,
3 saying, “Do not harm the
earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our
God on their foreheads.”
4 And I heard the number of those
who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all
the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
5 of the tribe of
Judah twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Reuben twelve
thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Gad twelve
thousand were sealed;
6 of the tribe of Asher
twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Naphtali
twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Manasseh
twelve thousand were sealed;
7
of the tribe of Simeon twelve
thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Levi twelve
thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Issachar
twelve thousand were sealed;
8
of the tribe of Zebulun
twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Joseph twelve
thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Benjamin
twelve thousand were sealed.
Revelation
14:1-8 KJV
1 And I looked, and, lo, A Lamb
stood on the mount Sion, and with Him an hundred forty and four
thousand, having His Father's name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven,
as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and
I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new
song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders:
and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four
thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not
defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow
The Lamb whither soever He goeth. These were redeemed from
among men, being the first fruits unto God and to The Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no
guile: for they are without fault before The Throne Of God.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the
midst of heaven, having The Everlasting Gospel to preach unto them
that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and
tongue, and people,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear
God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and
worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the
fountains of waters.
8 And there followed another angel,
saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she
made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Who are they, we
have been told. The 144,000 are redeemed Jews ancestrally linked to
the twelve tribes of Israel, 12,000 Jewish believers from each tribe of Israel.
These Jewish believers will become tribulation evangelists,
preaching the gospel, that they once rejected! These 144,000 are
sealed by The Lord, for their protection from tribulation,
judgments.
Some believe the
144,000 will be killed but not by earthly catastrophes, they will be
martyred because of their Christian message to the lost. Slain at the
hands of the Anti-Christ and his marked followers (Rev. 13).
Will the 144,000 be
effective, yes!
Revelation
7:9,10 KJV
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a
great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and
kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before The Throne, and
before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice,
saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto
the Lamb.
One last
inspirational thought regarding the 144,000. God sealed them, with
His protection against tribulation judgments, and He is the “same,”
God who keeps the Christian today!
Psalm 91:1-16
KJV
1 He that dwelleth in the secret
place of The Most High shall abide under the shadow of The Almighty.
2 I will say of The Lord, He is my
refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.
3 Surely He shall deliver thee from
the snare of the Fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with His
feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His Truth shall be
thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the
terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that
walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou
behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made The Lord,
which is my refuge, even
The Most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee,
neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For He shall give His angels
charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their
hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion
and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under
feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon
Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he
hath known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will
answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and
honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy
him, and shew him My salvation.
John 10:27-30
KJV
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I
know them, and they follow Me:
28 And I give unto them eternal
Life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them
out of My hand.
29 My Father, which gave them Me, is
greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's
hand.
30 I and My Father are one.
Prayer:
Isaiah 43:10,11
KJV
10 Ye are My witnesses, saith The
Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe
Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed,
neither shall there be after Me.
11 I, even I, am The Lord; and
beside Me there is no savior.
Isaiah 45:21,22
KJV
21 "...there is no God else
beside Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none beside Me.
22 Look unto Me, and be ye saved,
all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
