Bible Lesson: Intercessory Prayer: Samuel Intercedes For Israel.

Bible Lesson: Intercessory Prayer: Samuel Intercedes For Israel.

Bible Text:

I Samuel 7:3-15 NKJV
3 Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to The Lord with all your hearts, then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you, and prepare your hearts for
The Lord, and serve Him only; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.” 4 So the children of Israel put away the Baals and the Ashtoreths,[b] and served the Lord only.

Samuel's Formula For Success:

1) If you return to The Lord with all your hearts,
2) then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you
3) and prepare your hearts for The Lord,
4) and serve Him only

He will deliver you

5 And Samuel said, “Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to The Lord for you.”
6 So they gathered together at Mizpah, drew water, and poured it out before The Lord. And they fasted that day, and said there, “We have sinned against The Lord.” And Samuel judged the children of Israel at Mizpah.

*) So they gathered together at Mizpah, drew water, and poured it out before The Lord.
Psalm 22:15 NLT
My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have
laid me in the dust and left me for dead. (Israels act of penitence.)
*) And they fasted that day,
*) and said there, “We have sinned against The Lord.”

7 Now when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel had gathered together at Mizpah, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard of it, they were afraid of the Philistines.
8 So the children of Israel said to Samuel,
Do not cease to cry out to The Lord our God for us, that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.”

9 And Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to The Lord. Then Samuel cried out to The Lord for Israel, and The Lord answered him.

10 Now as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But The Lord thundered with a loud thunder upon the Philistines that day, and so confused them that they were overcome before Israel.
11 And the men of Israel went out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, and drove them back as far as below Beth Car.
12 Then Samuel took A Stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far The Lord has helped us.” (Stone Of Help.)

13 So the Philistines were subdued, and they did not come anymore into the territory of Israel. And the hand of The Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
14 Then the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron to Gath; and Israel recovered its territory from the hands of the Philistines. Also there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.

15 And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

The people of God need deliverance from their enemies, the Philistines.
Samuel told them...

1) If you return to The Lord with all your hearts,
2) then put away the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths from among you
3) and prepare your hearts for The Lord,
4) and serve Him only

He will deliver you

*) So they gathered together at Mizpah, drew water, and poured it out before The Lord.
Psalm 22:15 NLT
My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have
laid me in the dust and left me for dead. (Israels act of penitence.)
*) And they fasted that day,
*) and said there, “We have sinned against The Lord.”

Samuel interceded for them:

I Samuel 7:9-12 NKJV

Fence-Sitters:

Amos 6:1 KJV
Woe to them that are at ease..."

Matthew 22:5 KJV
But they made light of it..."

Matthew 24:12 KJV
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Acts 28:27 KJV
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Hebrews 2:3 KJV
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..."

James 4:7,8,17 NLT
7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Fence - Sitter:
a person who remains neutral or undecided.
(Dictionary.Com)

Not too decide for Christ, is to decide against Him!

James states, that because your loyalty is between the world and God, you are a sinner and “not,” a child of God!

Our Lord told us...
Matthew 12:30 NLT
Anyone who isn’t with Me opposes Me, and anyone who isn’t working with Me is actually working against Me.

Revelation 3:15,16 NLT (A Message from the Lord, to the Church in Laodicea.)
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of My mouth.
Our God warns:

Matthew 18:3 KJV
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:20 KJV
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Mark 10;15 KJV
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

I Corinthians 6:9 KJV
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?..."

Hebrews 3:18,19 KJV

19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Hebrews 10:31 KJV
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of The Living God.

Going to church, doesn't save anyone! Even doing religious works, in the church, doesn't save!

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
21 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

The Answer:

Ephesians 2;8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is The Gift Of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Titus 3:4-7 NLT
4 But—When God our Savior revealed His kindness and love,
5 He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new Life through The Holy Spirit.
6 He generously poured out The Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
7 Because of His grace He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

II Corinthians 6:2 KJV
(For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured (helped) thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Sins Remembered No More.

Bible Questions Answered:
“...it says we are new creatures in Christ, and I have repented how I have treated some people I know but I still don't feel right...”
Howard/ Denver, Colorado U.S.A.

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:

Thank God, our salvation, and our standing before The Lord, does “not,” depend upon our feelings!
We do not become a child of God because one day we felt as though we were OK in God's sight, no!
We became a child of God because we were obedient to His unchanging Word.

Mark 1:15 KJV
"... repent ye, and believe the gospel.

John 3:16 KJV
"...that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Acts 3:19 KJV
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out..."

And we, through our decision, became a child of The Living God, and our names were written in
The Lamb's book of life.

When we repent of sin and ask for forgiveness...

II Chronicles 30:9 KJV
For if ye turn again unto The Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for The Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away His face from you, if ye return unto Him.

Psalm 32:1,5 KJV
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
5 I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto The Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Psalm 103:10,12 KJV
10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.

Isaiah 43:25 KJV
I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.

Isaiah 55:7 KJV
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto The Lord, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Jeremiah 31:34 KJV
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know The Lord: for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith The Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Micah 7:19 KJV
He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

John 3:17,18 NLT
17 God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.
18 “There is no judgment against anyone who believes in Him. But anyone who does not believe in Him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

John 5:24 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 8:10,11 KJV
10 When Jesus had lifted up Himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

II Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Hebrews 8:12 KJV
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Hebrews 10:22 KJV
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

I John 1:9 KJV
If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and Just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Revelation 12:10,11 KJV
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by The Blood Of The Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Romans 8:1 KJV
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after The Spirit.

If God does not condemn you, do not condemn yourself!

II Corinthians 3:16,17 NLT
16 But whenever someone turns to The Lord, the veil is taken away.
17 For The Lord is The Spirit, and wherever The Spirit Of The Lord is, there is freedom.

Bible Lesson: Intercessory Prayer: Moses Intercedes For His Sister, Miriam.

Bible Lesson: Intercessory Prayer: Moses Intercedes For His Sister, Miriam.

Bible Text:

Numbers 12:1-15 NLT
1 While they were at Hazeroth, Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because he had married a Cushite woman.
2 They said, “Has The Lord spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t He spoken through us, too?” But The Lord heard them.
3 (Now Moses was very humble—more humble than any other person on earth.)
4 So immediately The Lord called to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam and said, “Go out to the Tabernacle, all three of you!” So the three of them went to the Tabernacle.
5 Then The Lord descended in the pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle. “Aaron and Miriam!” He called, and they stepped forward.
6 And The Lord said to them, “Now listen to what I say: “If there were prophets among you, I, The Lord, would reveal Myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams.
7 But not with My servant Moses. Of all My house, He is the one I trust.
8 I speak to him face to face, clearly, and not in riddles! He sees The Lord as he is. So why were you not afraid to criticize My servant Moses?”
9 The Lord was very angry with them, and He departed.
10 As The Cloud moved from above the Tabernacle, there stood Miriam, her skin as white as snow from leprosy. When Aaron saw what had happened to her,
11 he cried out to Moses, “Oh, my master! Please don’t punish us for this sin we have so foolishly committed.
12 Don’t let her be like a stillborn baby, already decayed at birth.”
13 So Moses cried out to The Lord, “O God, I beg you, please heal her!”
14 But The Lord said to Moses, “If her father had done nothing more than spit in her face, wouldn’t she be defiled for seven days? So keep her outside the camp for seven days, and after that she may be accepted back.”
15 So Miriam was kept outside the camp for seven days, and the people waited until she was brought back before they traveled again.

Miriam was a prophetess.

Exodus 15:19-21 NLT
19 When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and charioteers rushed into the sea, The Lord brought the water crashing down on them. But the people of Israel had walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground!
20 Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister( And Moses'), took a tambourine and led all the women as they played their tambourines and danced.
21 And Miriam sang this song: “Sing to The Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously; He has hurled both horse and rider into the sea.”

Miriam had instigated a coup against her brother...

Numbers 12:1,2 NLT
1 While they were at Hazeroth, Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because he had married a Cushite woman.
2 They said, “Has The Lord spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t He spoken through us, too?”
Miram's accusation, he had married a Cushite woman,” who was Ethiopian, and “not,” Jewish, as was the command of God for the Jews. Therefore, Miriam protested, if God can speak through him, He can speak through us as well!

Moses wife, Ziporah was from Midian (Cush or Ethiopia – North Eastern Africa.)

The Command of The Lord:

Deuteronomy 7:1-11 NLT
1“When The Lord your God brings you into the land you are about to enter and occupy, He will clear away many nations ahead of you: the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. These seven nations are greater and more numerous than you.
2 When The Lord your God hands these nations over to you and you conquer them, you must completely destroy them. Make no treaties with them and show them no mercy.
3 You must not intermarry with them. Do not let your daughters and sons marry their sons and daughters,
4 for they will lead your children away from Me to worship other gods. Then the anger of The Lord will burn against you, and He will quickly destroy you.
5 This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols.
6 For you are a holy people, who belong to The Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, The Lord your God has chosen you to be His own special treasure.
7 “The Lord did not set His heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations!
8 Rather, it was simply that The Lord loves you, and He was keeping the oath He had sworn to your ancestors. That is why The Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.
9 Understand, therefore, that The Lord your God is indeed God. He is The Faithful God who keeps His covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes His unfailing love on those who love Him and obey His commands.
10 But He does not hesitate to punish and destroy those who reject Him.
11 Therefore, you must obey all these commands, decrees, and regulations I am giving you today.

QUESTION: Was Miriam, and Aaron wrong?
ANSWER: Absolutely not! (In Miriam's case, she was both right and wrong, at the same time.)

“Pastor if they were not wrong, why, oh why did The Lord come down on Miriam in judgment?”

Good question:

Are you in a church or religious gathering, that you don't see eye to eye with, you think maybe the pastor has little or no education, and you are going to get your friends together to get the guy discharged!

WARNING, WARNING, TAKE WARNING, THE JUDGMENT OF GOD IS NEAR!

If you do not agree with a pastor and his teaching do what The Lord has told you to do!

II Corinthians 6:17 KJV
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith The Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

Whether they are right or wrong in their doctrine!

Why was Miriam judged, when she and Aaron were correct?

Miriam had forgotten one thing, just one thing.

Moses was a called of God leader of Israel, God's people!

Exodus 3:1-10 KJV
1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2 And The Angel Of The Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when The Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5 And He said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6 Moreover He said, I am The God of thy father, The God of Abraham, The God of Isaac, and The God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
7 And The Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto Me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth My people the children of Israel out of Egypt.

Revelation 1:16 KJV
And He had in His right hand seven stars..."

Revelation 1:20 KJV
The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in My right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels* of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

*Angels-Greek: Anggelos: Messenger, agent.

The anggelos of the church, are it's pastors (leaders).

Moses the called of God, leader of God's people, was himself in the very hand of God!
Miriam, though correct, had “no,” right to strike out at the Man of God, and so God judged her accordingly.

Romans 12:19 KJV
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith The Lord.

How very careful we must be if we a vigilante force of one or many, come against a God ordained pastor or leader of God's people, be warned, whether your right or wrong in your motives, to do so will end in judgment.

So, what happened?

Numbers 12:2 NLT
... The Lord heard them.”

Moses, had done wrong, according to The Lords commands of His people, but The Lord didn't need Miriam to inform Him, as how to judge or discipline.

Romans 11:33,34 KJV
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of The Lord? or who hath been His counsellor?

The Lord knew Moses....

Numbers 12:3-12 NLT

Aaron, confessed their sin, Miriam was leprous.
Aaron, begged Moses, for Miriam's deliverance from leprosy.

Number 12:13-15 NLT
13 So Moses cried out to The Lord, “O God, I beg you, please heal her!”

14 But The Lord said to Moses, “If her father had done nothing more than spit in her face, wouldn’t she be defiled for seven days? So keep her outside the camp for seven days, and after that she may be accepted back.”

What an example of …

Galatians 6:7 KJV
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

15 So Miriam was kept outside the camp for seven days, and the people waited until she was brought back before they traveled again.

God forgives sins yes, but nowhere does it state that He negates the evil crop we have sown!
This is why we should live so carefully to please The Living God!

Galatians 6:8 KJV
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to The Spirit shall of The Spirit reap Life everlasting.

Bible Texts:

We, ourselves are powerless to please The Living God, but when we accept The Lord Jesus to be our Savior and Lord, The Spirit Of God, works in our lives.

The Holy Spirit In Our Lives, Working, A Sign That We Are Indeed The People Of God.

Ezekiel 36:26,27 KJV
26 Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.
27 And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them.

John 14:17 KJV
Even The Spirit Of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Acts 10:44-48 NLT
44 Even as Peter was saying these things, The Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message.
45 The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that The Gift of The Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too.
46 For they heard them speaking in other tongues and praising God. Then Peter asked,
47 “Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received The Holy Spirit just as we did?”
48 So he gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Afterward Cornelius asked him to stay with them for several days.

Acts 15:7-9 NLT
7 At the meeting, after a long discussion, Peter stood and addressed them as follows: “Brothers, you all know that God chose me from among you some time ago to preach to the Gentiles so that they could hear the Good News and believe.
8 God knows people’s hearts, and He confirmed that He accepts Gentiles by giving them The Holy Spirit, just as He did to us.
9 He made no distinction between us and them, for He cleansed their hearts through faith.

Romans 8:9 NLT
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by The Spirit if you have
The Spirit Of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have The Spirit Of Christ living in them do not belong to Him at all.)

I Corinthians 3:16 KJV
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that The Spirit Of God dwelleth in you?

Galatians 3:1-5 NLT
1 Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of His death on the cross.
2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive The Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received The Spirit because you believed The Message you heard about Christ.
3 How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in The Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?
4 Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?
5 I ask you again, does God give you The Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe The Message you heard about Christ.

Galatians 4:6 KJV
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth The Spirit Of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

I John 3:24 KJV
Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with Him, and He with them. And we know He lives in us because The Spirit He gave us lives in us.

I John 4:13 KJV
Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit At Work In Our Lives:

Romans 8:2,4,12-14 NLT
1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
2 And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
3 The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent His own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving His Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
4 He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow The Spirit.
12 Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
13 For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of The Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.
14 For all who are led by The Spirit Of God are children of God.

II Corinthians 3:18 KJV
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of The Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by The Spirit Of The Lord.

Galatians 5:16-25 NLT (Living by the Spirit’s Power)
16 So I say, let The Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.
17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what The Spirit wants. And
The Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
18 But when you are directed by The Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division,
21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
22 But The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to His cross and crucified them there.
25 Since we are living by The Spirit, let us follow The Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.

Titus 3:4,5 NLT
"...When God our Savior revealed His kindness and love,
5 He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through The Holy Spirit.

II Peter 1:3-11 NLT (Growing in Faith)
3 By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence.
4 And because of His glory and excellence, He has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share His divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a
generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,
6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness,
7 and Godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.
10 So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.
11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When we as God's children, do our best to live for The Lord, we do not work alone, God The Holy Spirit, within us, works with us!

Spiritual Growth,With God's Holy Spirit:

Job 17:9 NLT
The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.

Psalm 92:12,13 KJV
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of The Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

Proverbs 4:18 KJV
But the path of the just is as the shining Light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Ephesians 4:15 NLT
"...we will speak The Truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of His body, the church.

I Peter 2:2 KJV
"...desire the sincere milk of The Word, that ye may grow thereby:

II Peter 3:18 KJV
"...grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

I John 2:27 NLT
But you have received The Holy Spirit, and He lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For The Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what He teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as He has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.

I John 3:2,3 KJV
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in Him purifieth himself, even as He is pure.

God The Father enthroned in heaven, and His right hand, Jesus Christ our High Priest, ever living to intercede for us, and God The Holy Spirit, living within, to encourage us, to change us, to empower us, to live the life our God has called us to.

Romans 8:35,37-39 KJV
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Christ - Prophet

Bible Questions Answered:
“...from class we had a heated discussion as to who was the last prophet. I said it was Malachi, while some said it was John the baptist, who is right?...”
Knute/ Gothenburg, Sweden (Vastra Gotaland County)

Bible Answer:
Bible Texts:

Answer: Neither.
The last prophet to speak to mankind was The Lord Jesus Christ:

Deuteronomy 18:15 KJV (Moses)
The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee A Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken;

Acts 3:22 KJV
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A Prophet shall The Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; Him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever He shall say unto you.

Acts 7:37 KJV
This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A Prophet shall The Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; Him shall ye hear.

Matthew 13:57,58 KJV
57 And they were offended in Him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.
58 And He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Luke 7:16,17 KJV
16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That A Great Prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited His people.
17 And this rumor of Him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.

John 4:19 KJV
The woman saith unto Him, Sir, I perceive that thou art A Prophet.

A Prophet, is ordained of God, He is a leader who speaks God's Word, is both an example and witness of that Word. He cleanses and He prays, such was our blessed Savior The Lord Jesus Christ.

King of Kings, Lord of Lords, High Priest, Prophet, and Savior, do you know Him?

Bible Lesson: Intercessory Prayer: Moses Intercedes Time After Time For The People Of God.

Bible Lesson: Intercessory Prayer: Moses Intercedes Time After Time For The People Of God.

Bible Texts:

Exodus 32:1-14 NLT
1 When the people saw how long it was taking Moses to come back down the mountain, they gathered around Aaron. “Come on,” they said, “make us some gods who can lead us. We don’t know what happened to this fellow Moses, who brought us here from the land of Egypt.”
2 So Aaron said, “Take the gold rings from the ears of your wives and sons and daughters, and bring them to me.”
3 All the people took the gold rings from their ears and brought them to Aaron.
4 Then Aaron took the gold, melted it down, and molded it into the shape of a calf. When the people saw it, they exclaimed, “O Israel, these are the gods who brought you out of the land of Egypt!”
5 Aaron saw how excited the people were, so he built an altar in front of the calf. Then he announced, “Tomorrow will be a festival to The Lord!”
6 The people got up early the next morning to sacrifice burnt offerings and peace offerings. After this, they celebrated with feasting and drinking, and they indulged in pagan revelry.
7 The Lord told Moses, “Quick! Go down the mountain! Your people whom you brought from the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves.
8 How quickly they have turned away from The Way I commanded them to live! They have melted down gold and made a calf, and they have bowed down and sacrificed to it. They are saying, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.’”
9 Then The Lord said, “I have seen how stubborn and rebellious these people are.
10 Now leave Me alone so My fierce anger can blaze against them, and I will destroy them. Then I will make you, Moses, into a great nation.”
11 But Moses tried to pacify The Lord his God. “O Lord!” he said. “Why are you so angry with your own people whom you brought from the land of Egypt with such great power and such a strong hand?
12 Why let the Egyptians say, ‘Their God rescued them with the evil intention of slaughtering them in the mountains and wiping them from the face of the earth’? Turn away from your fierce anger. Change your mind about this terrible disaster you have threatened against your people!
13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You bound yourself with an oath to them, saying, ‘I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven. And I will give them all of this land that I have promised to your descendants, and they will possess it forever.’”
14 So The Lord changed His mind about the terrible disaster He had threatened to bring on His people.

Exodus 32:30-35 NLT
30 The next day Moses said to the people, “You have committed a terrible sin, but I will go back up to The Lord on the mountain. Perhaps I will be able to obtain forgiveness for your sin.”
31 So Moses returned to The Lord and said, “Oh, what a terrible sin these people have committed. They have made gods of gold for themselves.
32 But now, if you will only forgive their sin—but if not, erase my name from the record you have written!”
33 But The Lord replied to Moses, “No, I will erase the name of everyone who has sinned against Me.
34 Now go, lead the people to the place I told you about. Look! My Angel will lead the way before you. And when I come to call the people to account, I will certainly hold them responsible for their sins.”
35 Then The Lord sent a great plague upon the people because they had worshiped the calf Aaron had made.

Exodus 33:14-17 NLT
14 The Lord replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.”
15 Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place.
16 How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.”
17 The Lord replied to Moses, “I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.”

Numbers 11:1-3 NLT
1 Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and The Lord heard everything they said. Then The Lord’s anger blazed against them, and He sent a fire to rage among them, and He destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp.
2 Then the people screamed to Moses for help, and when he prayed to The Lord, the fire stopped.
3 After that, the area was known as Taberah (which means “the place of burning”), because fire from The Lord had burned among them there.

Numbers 14:13-23 NLT
13 But Moses objected. “What will the Egyptians think when they hear about it?” he asked The Lord. “They know full well the power you displayed in rescuing your people from Egypt.
14 Now if you destroy them, the Egyptians will send a report to the inhabitants of this land, who have already heard that you live among your people. They know, Lord, that you have appeared to your people face to face and that your pillar of cloud hovers over them. They know that you go before them in the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night.
15 Now if you slaughter all these people with a single blow, the nations that have heard of your fame will say,
16 ‘The Lord was not able to bring them into the land He swore to give them, so He killed them in the wilderness.’
17 “Please, Lord, prove that your power is as great as you have claimed. For you said,
18 ‘The Lord is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love, forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion. But He does not excuse the guilty. He lays the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations.’
19 In keeping with your magnificent, unfailing love, please pardon the sins of this people, just as you have forgiven them ever since they left Egypt.”
20 Then The Lord said, “I will pardon them as you have requested.
21 But as surely as I live, and as surely as the earth is filled with The Lord’s glory,
22 not one of these people will ever enter that land. They have all seen My glorious presence and the miraculous signs I performed both in Egypt and in the wilderness, but again and again they have tested Me by refusing to listen to My voice.
23 They will never even see the land I swore to give their ancestors. None of those who have treated Me with contempt will ever see it.

Numbers 21:4-9 NLT
4 Then the people of Israel set out from Mount Hor, taking the road to the Red Sea to go around the land of Edom. But the people grew impatient with the long journey,
5 and they began to speak against God and Moses. “Why have you brought us out of Egypt to die here in the wilderness?” they complained. “There is nothing to eat here and nothing to drink. And we hate this horrible manna!”
6 So The Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and many were bitten and died.
7 Then the people came to Moses and cried out, “We have sinned by speaking against The Lord and against you. Pray that The Lord will take away the snakes.” So Moses prayed for the people.
8 Then The Lord told him, “Make a replica of a poisonous snake and attach it to a pole. All who are bitten will live if they simply look at it!”
9 So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!

Time after time, Moses interceded for the people of God, and The Lord heard his prayers.
Our Lord said...

John 13:15 KJV
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

John 17:9-26 NT (Our Lord's Prayer.)
1 After saying all these things, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so He can give glory back to you.
2 For you have given Him authority over everyone. He gives eternal life to each one you have given Him.
3 And this is The Way to have eternal Life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
4 I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave Me to do.
5 Now, Father, bring Me into the glory we shared before the world began.
6 “I have revealed you to the ones you gave Me from this world. They were always yours. You gave them to Me, and they have kept your word.
7 Now they know that everything I have is A Gift from you,
8 for I have passed on to them the message you gave Me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent Me.
9 “My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given Me, because they belong to you.
10 All who are Mine belong to you, and you have given them to Me, so they bring Me glory.
11 Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you.
Holy Father, you have given Me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are.
12 During My time here, I protected them by the power of the name you gave Me. I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures foretold.
13 “Now I am coming to you. I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with My joy.
14 I have given them your word. And the world hates them because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
15 I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one.
16 They do not belong to this world any more than I do.
17 Make them holy by your Truth; teach them your Word, which is Truth.
18 Just as you sent Me into the world, I am sending them into the world.
19 And I give Myself as a holy sacrifice for them so they can be made holy by your Truth.
20 “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in Me through their message.
21 I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in Me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent Me.
22 “I have given them the glory you gave Me, so they may be one as we are one.
23 I am in them and you are in Me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent Me and that you love them as much as you love Me.
24 Father, I want these whom you have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave Me because you loved Me even before the world began!
25 “O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent Me.
26 I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for Me will be in them, and I will be in them.”

Luke 22:31,32 KJV
31 And The Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Moses was an intercessor, our Lord was an intercessor, and we the people of God are called to be intercessors!

Joel 2:17 KJV (Intercession for the people of God.)
Let the priests, the ministers of The Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Thy people, O Lord, and give not Thine heritage to reproach..."

Acts 12:5-12 NLT (Read the whole story 1-17.) The church at prayer.
5 But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.
6 The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, fastened with two chains between two soldiers. Others stood guard at the prison gate.
7 Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an Angel Of The Lord stood before Peter.
The Angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists.
8 Then The Angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And he did. “Now put on your coat and follow me,” The Angel ordered.
9 So Peter left the cell, following The Angel. But all the time he thought it was a vision. He didn’t realize it was actually happening.
10 They passed the first and second guard posts and came to the iron gate leading to the city, and this opened for them all by itself. So they passed through and started walking down the street, and then
The Angel suddenly left him.
11 Peter finally came to his senses. “It’s really true!” he said. “The Lord has sent His Angel and saved me from Herod and from what the Jewish leaders had planned to do to me!”
12 When he realized this, he went to the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark, where many were gathered for prayer.

Ephesians 1:16 NLT (The Apostle Paul to the Ephesian believers.)
