Bible Lesson: Substitutionary Atonement

Bible Lesson: Substitutionary Atonement.

When we as Christians speak of vicarious atonement, we are referring to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

II Corinthians 5:21 KJV
For He (God the Father) hath made Him (Christ His Son) to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

II Corinthians 5:21 NLT
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

I Peter 2:21-24 KJV
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth:
23 Who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

John 1:29 KJV
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Simply put, Christ, took our place in judgment.
We, sinners, deserved judgment and death (separation from God).

Romans 3:23 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Ezekiel 18:20 KJV
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die..."

Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Substitution: The substituting of one person or thing for another. (New World Dictionary of American English)

Romans 3:23-25; 27,28 NLT
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.
25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood...
27 Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith.
28 So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

Galatians 1:3-5 KJV
3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 3:13 KJV
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Hebrews 9:28 KJV
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

God's love to mankind:
(Who is this suffering Messiah?) It is the Lord Jesus Christ, God's only Son.

Isaiah 53:1-12 NLT
1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord revealed His powerful arm?
2 My Servant grew up in the Lord’s presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. There was nothing beautiful or majestic about His appearance, nothing to attract us to Him.
3 He was despised and rejected— a Man of Sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
4 Yet it was our weaknesses He carried; it was our sorrows that weighed Him down. And we thought His troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for His own sins!
5 But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on Him the sins of us all.
7 He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet He never said a word. He was led like a Lamb to the slaughter. And as a Sheep is silent before the shearers, He did not open His mouth.
8 Unjustly condemned, He was led away. No one cared that He died without descendants, that His life was cut short in midstream. But He was struck down for the rebellion of My people.
9 He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But He was buried like a criminal; He was put in a rich man’s grave.
10 But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush Him and cause Him grief. Yet when His life is made an offering for sin, He will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in His hands.
11 When He sees all that is accomplished by His anguish, He will be satisfied. And because of His experience, My righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for He will bear all their sins.
12 I will give Him the honors of a victorious soldier, because He exposed Himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.

John 3:16-18 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I John 3:16,KJV
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

I John 4:9-11 KJV
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

The Lord Jesus Christ is called “The Redeemer.”

Redeem: To buy back. To get back; recover as by paying a fee. To set free by paying a ransom.

Ransom: The redeeming or release of a captive...by paying money or complying with other demands.
The price thus paid or demand. (New World Dictionary of American English.)

Matthew 20:28 KJV
Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many.

Mark 10:45 KJV
For even the Son of Man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many.

I Timothy 2:3-6 KJV
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

I Corinthians 5:7 KJV
"...For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us..."

Ephesians 1:1,2 KJV
1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

Christ our High Priest, Saviour, Mediator.

Hebrews 9:11-28 KJV
11 But Christ being come an High Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the Eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause He is the Mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the High Priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

I Peter 1:18,19 KJV
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot:

Galatians 4:4-7 KJV
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Philippians 2:5-11 KJV
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Romans 5:19 KJV
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Romans 10:4 NLT
For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in Him are made right with God.

Reconcile (Reconciliation): To make friendly again or win over to a friendly attitude. To make compatible, bring into harmony. (New World Dictionary of American English.)

Romans 4:25 KJV
He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised to life to make us right with God.

Romans 5:6-9 KJV
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

II Corinthians 5:17-19 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Ephesians 2:14-18 NLT
14 For Christ Himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in His own body on the cross, He broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.
15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in Himself one new people from the two groups.
16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of His death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death.
17 He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from Him, and peace to the Jews who were near.
18 Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

I Peter 3:18 KJV
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Christians declared to be righteous, by the finished work of Christ.

Romans 3:23-26 NLT
23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
24 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins.
25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood...
26...God did this to demonstrate His righteousness, for He Himself is fair and just, and He declares sinners to be right in His sight when they believe in Jesus.

Romans 5:8 KJV
Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Isaiah 47:4 KJV
As for our redeemer, the LORD of Hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel.

Revelation 7:9-12 KJV
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Bible Lesson: Bible Mountain- Mount Carmel

Bible Lesson:

Bible Mountain: Mount Carmel.

I Kings 18:17-39 KJV
17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel?
18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.
19 Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which eat at Jezebel's table.
20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.
21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.
23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:
24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.
25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.
29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.
31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.
35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, He is the God; the LORD, He is the God.

On the southern part of Asher, on the Mediterranean Sea, is beautiful Mount Carmel.
Here Elijah would call for a contest between the living God, and the heathen god Baal.

Ahab was Israel's most evil king. Ahab married a Phoenician princess by the name of Jezebel. Jezebel was an idolater who worshiped Baal, and so she called for no less then four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, and some four hundred prophets of Astarte (I Kings 16:31,32/18:19).

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

The Prophets of Baal, called on the name of their god, but no matter how loud they called, or how much blood they let, he did not answer.

Oh, how many a dear soul today, is rushed head long into the worship of pleasure and sin,
false gods, that cannot hear or help in time of need. False gods of death, erected by Satan, himself.

What a real picture of Satan, though these many prophets had “faithfully served him, with all their heart mind body and soul,” he would only laugh at them in their time of need.

Satan is the kind of master that one may serve him with his whole life, and when that life is over, the devil will take him to hell, to torment him.

Satan, hates mankind, because every time he sees him, he is reminded of God (Genesis 1:26).
And Satan hates God, because, God has thrown him out of heaven, and will one day yet send him to the eternal Lake of Fire.

The whole day had passed, and the god, Baal was silent.
Then came time for the Prophet Elijah to repair the altar of God, and call upon His name.
The altar needed repair, because the people had forsaken their worship of God.

First the stones, then the wood, then the sacrifice, and then, so as not to make it too easy, four barrels of water poured upon the sacrifice, not just once, but three times.

There is only “one,” God, the living God, the great I AM.

An altar is a place of worship, and a place of sacrifice.
Many today feel as though there is no God. But then again, their altars are broken down, having not called on God to worship or sacrifice, to the great I AM.

Matthew 22:32 KJV
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

Elijah's sacrifice was victorious!

Romans 8:31 KJV
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

II Chronicles 7:14 KJV
If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God's appointed leader of Israel, Joshua said...

Joshua 24:14-16 KJV
14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
16 And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;

Bible Questions Answered: John - Greater Than

Bible Questions Answered:
How do you explain Luke 7:28, John was the greatest of men, and then the least is greater than he is?
Shawna/ Crumlin, Northern Ireland

Bible Answer:

Text:
Luke 7:24-35 NLT
24 After John’s disciples left, Jesus began talking about him to the crowds. “What kind of man did you go into the wilderness to see? Was he a weak reed, swayed by every breath of wind?
25 Or were you expecting to see a man dressed in expensive clothes? No, people who wear beautiful clothes and live in luxury are found in palaces.
26 Were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet.
27 John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say,‘Look, I am sending My messenger ahead of You, and he will prepare Your way before You.’

28 I tell you, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John.
Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of God is greater than he is!”

29 When they heard this, all the people—even the tax collectors—agreed that God’s way was right, for they had been baptized by John.
30 But the Pharisees and experts in religious law rejected God’s plan for them, for they had refused John’s baptism.
31 “To what can I compare the people of this generation?” Jesus asked. “How can I describe them?
32 They are like children playing a game in the public square. They complain to their friends, ‘We played wedding songs, and you didn’t dance, so we played funeral songs, and you didn’t weep.’
33 For John the Baptist didn’t spend his time eating bread or drinking wine, and you say, ‘He’s possessed by a demon.’
34 The Son of Man, on the other hand, feasts and drinks, and you say, ‘He’s a glutton and a drunkard, and a friend of tax collectors and other sinners!’
35 But wisdom is shown to be right by the lives of those who follow it.”

John the Baptist, was the son of the priest Zacharias, and mother, Elisabeth (Daughter of Aaron.).
John was the last of Old Testament prophets, who prepared the way of the Messiah.

John a devout man, taught his disciples...

To fast.
Matthew 9:14 KJV
Then came to Him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

To pray.
Luke 5:33 KJV
And they said unto Him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

Luke 11:1 KJV
And it came to pass, that, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

To make confession of sin, and be baptized.
Matthew 3:5,6 NLT
5 People from Jerusalem and from all of Judea and all over the Jordan Valley went out to see and hear John.
6 And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

Herod Antipas, had John executed.

Luke 3:19,20 NLT
19 John also publicly criticized Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, for marrying Herodias, his brother’s wife, and for many other wrongs he had done.
20 So Herod put John in prison, adding this sin to his many others.

Matthew 14:6-11 KJV
6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.
7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.
8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.
9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

John saw but a glimmer on the horizon of a coming new day of grace, but never was able to partake of it.

Up until his time, there was no greater than John the Baptist, and yet, in the new day of “grace,” under Christ, the very least (Christian) is greater than he, because he has been saved by the precious blood of Christ.

I Peter 1:18,19 KJV
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot:

I John 1:7 KJV
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

The difference,is the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
For Christ's message of faith, and the grace of God, is greater than that of the law.

Galatians 2:16 KJV
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Galatians 3:11 KJV
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Hebrews 2:1-3 KJV
1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.
2 For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;
3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation..."

II Corinthians 6:2 KJV
(For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock.

Psalm 34:7 KJV
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them.

Psalm 91:1-16 KJV
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.
3 Surely He shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set His love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him My salvation.

Psalm 105:14,15 KJV
14 He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that He may bring forth food out of the earth;
15 And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.

Isaiah 59:19 KJV
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Philippians 4:6,7 KJV
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I Peter 3:13 KJV

Bible Lesson: Bible Mountains-Sinai -The Commandments

Bible Mountains:

Mount Sinai-mountain of the Law:

Text:
Exodus 19:20 KJV
And the Lord came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

The giving of the commandments:

Exodus 19:1-25 KJV
1 In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
3 And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto Myself.
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people: for all the earth is Mine:
6 And ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.
9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
12 And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:
13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
14 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
15 And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.
16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
18 And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish.
22 And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
23 And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
24 And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest He break forth upon them.
25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

Exodus 20:1-26 KJV
1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Commandment # 1
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Commandment # 2
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Commandment # 3
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Commandment # 4
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Commandment # 5
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Commandment # 6
13 Thou shalt not kill.

Commandment # 7
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Commandment # 8
15 Thou shalt not steal.

Commandment # 9
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Commandment # 10
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

Is man “saved,” today, by keeping the law?

Romans 6:14 KJV
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Galatians 3:19 NLT
Why, then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised. God gave His law through angels to Moses, who was the mediator between God and the people.

No, man is “not,” saved by keeping the law. Men today are saved by grace through faith, in God's only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

Does this mean that a Christian does not need to keep the commandments?
Absolutely not!
Jesus even added to the commandments....

John 13:34 KJV
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

The ten commandments were a moral guide for the new Jewish nation, and they remain a moral guide for all no matter what country.

Proverbs 30:5 KJV
Every word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.

Isaiah 8:20 KJV
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Prayer Requests: Nigeria and Pakistan Christians

Please pray for Nigerian Christians:

Christian people from Lagos, Nigeria, have come under attack by Muslim herdsmen. Latest estimate of the dead are as high as five hundred or more, with many thousands injured.

In central Nigeria, hundreds of Hausa Fulani herdsmen made an out right attack on three Christian villages, Dogon Na Hauwa, Ratsat, and Zot.

The attack had been well planned, the Muslims had planted nets and various animal traps out side the villagers huts, the dwellings of Christian peasant farmers.
The Muslims then fired their weapons into the air, scaring the residents out of their homes, as they began to flee, they were hacked to death with machetes.

The ones who did not escape, were the elderly and women with children, all were killed. These three villages had no military security, and now since, acting President Goodluck Jonathan has fired their national security adviser.

Nigeria's “Plateau State” (central Nigeria), has seen violence before. There are mainly Muslims to the north and Christians to the south.

The bodies of hundreds of slain Christians have been buried in mass graves.

Please pray for your Christian sisters and brothers of Nigeria.

I Peter 2:21 NLT
For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in His steps.

Revelation 12:11 NLT
And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

Please Pray for Pakistan Christians:

Islamabad, Pakistan, Islamist extremists, in the Mansehra district, armed with assault rifles and a bomb have killed all the workers of “World Vision.”

A major international humanitarian organization. World Vision, had been in place since the Kashmir earthquake of 2005. when some 80,000 people had been killed, and some 3 million left homeless.

Because World Vision is a Christian based organization, they were considered a threat by extremists. Six Pakistan employees were killed, and four others were wounded.

Northwestern Pakistan, has strong Al-Qaida, and Taliban groups.

Please pray for the Christian people of Pakistan/ and Afghanistan.

I Corinthians 4:2 KJV
Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Revelation 2:10 KJV
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 19:11 KJV
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war.

Bible Questions Answered: Last Days

Bible Questions Answered:
Pastor, are we living in the last days?
Johannes / Zurich, Switzerland

Bible Answers:

Absolutely, we are living in the last few hours of the last day!

Text:
Luke 21:25,25 KJV
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea* and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth..."

*Sea: A dual meaning, of oceans and storms, and also of the raging nations or peoples (nations) of the world.

Luke 21:25 KJV
Distress of nations.

“And there shall be...upon the earth distress of nations,” ethnic, racial and class hatreds, bombings, killings, and wars.

Matthew 24:6 KJV
"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars..."

“Love is negative, while hate is positive. To win the masses, you must give them something to hate.”
Adolph Hitler “Mein Kampf”

Not to mention, insurmountable increase of crimes, worsening figures on geophysics, global warming and pollution. Monumental declines in currencies and stocks, population explosion, over six billion and counting, multiplying faster and faster.

Luke 21:25 KJV
“With Perplexity*.” (No way out.)

*Perplexity-Greek-Aporia (Ap-or-ee-a): Quandary, perplexity.

Perplexity: Bewilderment, confusion. (New Word Dictionary)
Quandary: State of uncertainty, dilemma. “ “ “

The false gods of this world have failed. Amusements of all kinds, failed; drinks of all kind, and drunkenness, have failed, immorality and lusts of all kind, have and will fail, education and great scientific endeavors if not “Godly instruction, will fail, leadership of any kind if not “Godly inspired,” will fail, etc. etc..etc.

Once men thought, inventions of new guns, new missiles, rockets and bombs would solve the worlds problems, but no one would dare think that today!
Certainly a world court, representing the nations, could and would bring peace.
Such was the founding thought of the 1914 League of Nations/ United Nations, but today they send out troops to raging wars around the globe.

James 4:1,2 KJV
1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not..."

Matthew 24:22 KJV
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved..."

Luke 21:26 KJV
Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth..."

If one word, would be brought to categorize today's world it would be the word “fear.”

Joel 2:6 NLT
Fear grips all the people; every face grows pale with terror.

Luke 23:30 KJV
Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.

Mounting terrorist groups actively recruiting the young, as did Adolph Hitler. Hate groups, people needing little reason to kill and make war.
Military might forever building, costs mounting, economies failing. Peace accords rescinded, evil alignments forging. Battle plans ever ready.
The great darkness of apostasy preparing the way of the coming dark one.

II Thessalonians 2:1-4 NLT
1 Now, dear brothers and sisters, let us clarify some things about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to meet Him.
2 Don’t be so easily shaken or alarmed by those who say that the day of the Lord has already begun. Don’t believe them, even if they claim to have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a letter supposedly from us.
3 Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.
4 He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god.."

This older pastor remembers as a child, school beginning with a reading from the scripture and prayer. Once in America, all school textbooks had references to scripture.

How far we have come, and what of your country, and people?
In a seminary poll the following was asked of it's student, pastors to be.

Is God all powerful?
64% replied yes/ 7 % uncertain/ 29% no.

Is the book of Genesis true, and creation by God a reality?
5 % replied yes/ 6% uncertain/ 89 % no.

Is there a real devil?
9 % said yes/ 9 % uncertain/ 82 % no.

Do you believe in the “virgin birth.”
25 % yes/ 24 % uncertain/ 51 % no.

Do you believe in Christ's atoning death on the cross?
29 % yes/ 10 % uncertain/ 61 % no.

Do you believe in the actual resurrection, of Christ?
42 % yes/ 27 % uncertain/ 31 % no.

Do you believe that the New Testament is God's final revelation to man?
18 % yes/ 13 % uncertain/ 69 % no.

What today is the Christians hope?
II Thessalonians 4:13-18 NLT
13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with Him the believers who have died.
15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet Him ahead of those who have died.
16 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves.
17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
18 So encourage each other with these words.

Luke 21:27,28 KJV
27 And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Bible Questions Answered: Christ-Foremost

Bible Questions Answered:
What did Jesus mean, by saying, let the dead bury their dead?
Jason/ Auburn, Washington

Text: Matthew 8:18-22 KJV
18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave commandment to depart unto the other side.
19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto Him, Master, I will follow thee whither soever thou goest.
20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head.
21 And another of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
22 But Jesus said unto Him, Follow Me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Luke 9:57-62 KJV
57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whither soever thou goest.
58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head.
59 And He said unto another, Follow Me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Bible Answer:

This “certain scribe (Matthew 8:19), was called of the Lord, “go thou and preach the kingdom of God.(Luke 9:60), but the man was lukewarm in his commitment to the Lord.
One moment his commitment was, “Master, I will follow thee whither soever thou goest.”
The next moment, his commitment was, “Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.”

Jesus replied, “Follow Me; and let the dead bury their dead. “
Christ in effect was saying, let the dead be taken care by those who do those kind of things, but may your main concern be the “preaching the kingdom of God.”

When one follows the Lord Jesus, it must be to the exclusion of all others.

Matthew 10:34-39 KJV
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for My sake shall find it.

Matthew 16:24,25 KJV
24 Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it.

Luke 14:26,27,33 KJV
26 If any man come to Me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after Me, cannot be My disciple.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.

I Peter 2:21 KJV
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow His steps:

Dear friend, today, be sure to follow in His steps.

Philippians 2:5-8 KJV
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Bible Questions Answered-Testimony

Bible Questions Answered:
Recently I was in a different church were people popped up and shouted out testimonies, and testimonials were called for. I have never seen anything like this and it made me feel uncomfortable to be sure, what should a person believe regarding these kind of practices?
Lance/Charles City, Virgina/USA

Bible Answers:

Testimony: A declaration or statement made under oath or affirmation by a witness in a court, often in response to questioning, to establish a fact. Any affirmation or declaration. (New World Dictionary of American English)

The Bible answer as will be seen by the scriptures listed below, is that, “no-Christian,” can be truly so called, unless he or she is a public witness, of one kind or another.
There is absolutely “no-such-thing,” as a closet Christian.
You may not have been used to hearing, or seeing individuals testify publicly of their faith, but this is something every Christian, must do, in one form or another!

Romans 10:9,10 KJV
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Although a Christian, is definitely not saved, by works- - - “Religious-or otherwise,” but neither are we saved “from,” doing them!

Ehesians 2:8,9 KJV
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Confession of Faith:

Matthew 10:27,32,33 KJV
27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

Mark 8:38 KJV
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.

Luke 12:8,9 KJV
8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess Me before men, him shall the Son of Man also confess before the angels of God:
9 But he that denieth Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

Philippians 2:11 KJV
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

II Timothy 2:12 KJV
If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us:

II Timothy 4:2 KJV
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

I John 2:22,23 KJV
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

I John 4:15 KJV
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Bible Lesson: Bible Mountain- Of Promise

Bible Lesson: Bible Mountains.

Bible Mount: Ararat-The Mount of Promise.

Text: Genesis chapters 6,7,8. NLT

Genesis 6:17,18 NLT
17 “Look! I am about to cover the earth with a flood that will destroy every living thing that breathes. Everything on earth will die.
(Covenant)
18 But I will confirm my covenant with you. So enter the boat—you and your wife and your sons and their wives.

Genesis 7:1,5 NLT
1 When everything was ready, the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the boat with all your family, for among all the people of the earth, I can see that you alone are righteous.
5 So Noah did everything as the Lord commanded him.

Genesis 8:1-4 NLT
1 But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and livestock with him in the boat. He sent a wind to blow across the earth, and the flood waters began to recede.
2 The underground waters stopped flowing, and the torrential rains from the sky were stopped.
3 So the flood waters gradually receded from the earth. After 150 days,
4 exactly five months from the time the flood began, the boat came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.

After the flood:

Genesis 8:18-22 NLT
18 So Noah, his wife, and his sons and their wives left the boat.
19 And all of the large and small animals and birds came out of the boat, pair by pair.
20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and there he sacrificed as burnt offerings the animals and birds that had been approved for that purpose.
(Covenant)
21 And the Lord was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of the human race, even though everything they think or imagine is bent toward evil from childhood. I will never again destroy all living things.
22 As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

Covenant: An agreement between two people. God Covenanted with Noah, that “never again (would He) destroy all living things. “

Mount Ararat, is known as the Mount of Promise.

On the highlands of Armenia, are the Ararat mountain ranges, with the Great Ararat, of some 16,254 feet, and the lesser Ararat range of some 12,000 feet.
Midst Europe, Africa, and Asia, again humanity would have it's origin.
