Bible Questions Answered: New Jerusalem

Bible Questions Answered:
What is the new Jerusalem, in the bible?
Shanon/ Paterson, New Jersey

Bible Answers:
The New Jerusalem is fully described in …

Revelation 21:1-27 KJV
[1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
[2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
[3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.
[4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
[5] And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
[6] And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
[7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be My son.
[8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
[9] And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
[10] And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
[11] Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
[12] And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
[13] On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
[14] And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
[15] And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
[16] And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
[17] And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
[18] And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
[19] And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
[20] The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
[21] And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
[22] And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
[23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
[24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
[25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
[26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
[27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Revelation 22:1-7,17-19 KJV

[1] And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
[2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
[3] And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:
[4] And they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads.
[5] And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
[6] And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto His servants the things which must shortly be done.
[7] Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

[17] And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
[18] For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
[19] And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Because of the fall of man, he is not alone under the curse of sin, but all of creation is as well.

Genesis 3:17,18 KJV
[17] And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
[18] Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

Psalm 102:25,26 KJV
[25] Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
[26] They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:

New Heaven, and a New Earth, foretold:

Isaiah 65:17 KJV
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Isaiah 66:22 KJV
For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

Hebrews 11:10,16 KJV
[10] For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
[16] But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city.

Hebrews 12:22 KJV
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Hebrews 13:14 KJV
For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

II Peter 3:12,13 KJV
[12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
[13] Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

The day is coming when Revelation 21:1,5 KJV, will be true.

[1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
[5] And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

From the third heaven, the New Jerusalem, the place of God's throne, will become also the home of the glorified bride of Christ.
This celestial city will one day rest upon the new earth.

Many believe that Romans 4:13 NLT states that the redeemed of Israel, will inhabit the New Earth.
“Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith.”

Revelation twenty one, describes a City, measuring some 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles (square.)

Revelation 21:2 KJV
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

A celestial city prepared by God, for believers.

Matthew 25:34 KJV
Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

A golden city, where God is the light. A city where ...”...there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”

Sin, pain and sorrow, will all be gone forever, in the presence of the living God.

Adam, lost his right to the tree of life, but in the New Jerusalem, believers, will once again have the tree of life restored.

Genesis 3:22-24 KJV
[22] And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of Us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
[23] Therefore the LORD God sent him (Adam) forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
[24] So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Revelation 22:1-3 KJV
[1] And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
[2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
[3] And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him:

The New Jerusalem has twelve foundation Stones (Gems), named after the twelve Apostles.
The New Jerusalem has twelve Pearly Gates to the city, named after the twelve tribes of Israel.

A great wall of jasper* surrounds the city.
Jasper: Reddish Quartz.

Which reminds one and all...

I Peter 1:18,19 KJV
[18] Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

I Peter 1:18,19 NLT
18 For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom He paid was not mere gold or silver.
19 It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The New Jerusalem:
God will eternally dwell with His, blood bought children.

I Corinthians 13:10 KJV
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Revelation 21:3 KJV
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Heaven, are you going there?

John 4:10-15 KJV (Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well.)
[10] Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give Me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of Him, and He would have given thee living water.
[11] The woman saith unto Him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
[12] Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
[13] Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
[14] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
[15] The woman saith unto Him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

Romans 5:8,9 KJV
[8] But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[9] Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Bible Questions Answered: Divorce

Bible Questions Answered:
I told a friend it is ok for Christian's to divorce, she is not sure, what are the facts on that?
Mayra/ Buenos Aires, Argentina

Bible Answers:

Matthew 19:3-8 KJV
[3] The Pharisees also came unto Him, tempting Him, and saying unto Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
[4] And He answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
[5] And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
[6] Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
[7] They say unto Him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
[8] He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
[9] And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

Matthew 19:3-9 NLT
3 Some Pharisees came and tried to trap Him with this question: “Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife for just any reason?”
4 “Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’
5 And He said, ‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’
6 Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.”
7 “Then why did Moses say in the law that a man could give his wife a written notice of divorce and send her away?” they asked.
8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted divorce only as a concession to your hard hearts, but it was not what God had originally intended.
9 And I tell you this, whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery—unless his wife has been unfaithful.”

Matthew 5:31,32 KJV
[31] It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
[32] But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Matthew 5:31,32 NLT
31 “You have heard the law that says, ‘A man can divorce his wife by merely giving her a written notice of divorce.
32 But I say that a man who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. And anyone who marries a divorced woman also commits adultery.

Jesus said, that because of the hardness of their hearts, Moses permitted a writing of divorcement, but it was never intended by God.
There was only one caveat regarding divorcement, Christ said, only in the case of marital infidelity (i.e. adultery).

This old gospel preacher, remembers, as a kid growing up...Christian people, NEVER could think of the word-Divorce.
They would “Separate, “ but never divorce.
And the reasoning behind that was, if one wanted out of a marriage, they would separate, and pray for each other, and pray that the day would come to be reunited (especially so, if there were children involved.)

But as our Lord has said, because of the hardness of the hearts of some, divorce reigns rampant.

What about if a partner was unfaithful, and demanded a divorce?
Would not the faithful partner, have right to being married again, as well, seeing how the marriage was broken by the unfaithful partner?
Perhaps, but many refuse to, praying for the salvation of an unfaithful mate, while staying single, and yet faithful, in the eyes of their children.

The Apostle Paul also said that if a innocent partner, can remain with an unfaithful spouse, he or she should do so.

I Corinthians 7:10-16 KJV
[10] And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
[11] But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
[12] But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
[13] And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
[14] For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
[15] But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
[16] For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

I Corinthians 7:10-16 NLT
10 But for those who are married, I have a command that comes not from me, but from the Lord. A wife must not leave her husband.
11 But if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to him. And the husband must not leave his wife.
12 Now, I will speak to the rest of you, though I do not have a direct command from the Lord. If a Christian man has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to continue living with him, he must not leave her.
13 And if a Christian woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to continue living with her, she must not leave him.
14 For the Christian wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the Christian husband brings holiness to his marriage. Otherwise, your children would not be holy, but now they are holy.
15 (But if the husband or wife who isn’t a believer insists on leaving, let them go. In such cases the Christian husband or wife is no longer bound to the other, for God has called you to live in peace.)
16 Don’t you wives realize that your husbands might be saved because of you? And don’t you husbands realize that your wives might be saved because of you?

A Christian, is bound to their mate, until death.
We live in a hedonistic age, with individuals who write their own wedding vows, and many, “not upon-the word of God.”

I Corinthians 7:39 KJV
The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

(i.e. married for life, and Christians, must marry other Christians, not unbelievers!)

Bible Questions Answered: Numbering The People

Bible Questions Answered:
I see a error in Davids numbering the people, in one case it says the devil made him do it, yet also it says God told him to do it.
Ben/ Winnipeg, Manitoba-Canada

Bible Answers:
The scripture to which you refer is:

I Chronicles 21:1-8 KJV
1 Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel.
2 So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army, “Take a census of all the people of Israel—from Beersheba in the south to Dan in the north—and bring me a report so I may know how many there are.”
3 But Joab replied, “May the Lord increase the number of his people a hundred times over! But why, my lord the king, do you want to do this? Are they not all your servants? Why must you cause Israel to sin?”

(Jeremiah 17:5 KJV
Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
Mankind that refuses to trust in the Lord, but who rather trust in their own failing might.)

4 But the king insisted that they take the census, so Joab traveled throughout all Israel to count the people. Then he returned to Jerusalem
5 and reported the number of people to David. There were 1,100,000 warriors in all Israel who could handle a sword, and 470,000 in Judah.
6 But Joab did not include the tribes of Levi and Benjamin in the census because he was so distressed at what the king had made him do.
Judgment for David’s Sin
7 God was very displeased with the census, and he punished Israel for it.
8 Then David said to God, “I have sinned greatly by taking this census. Please forgive my guilt for doing this foolish thing.”

Sure enough, in these verses we read without any doubt it was the enemy that enticed David to number the people.

But you rightly point out that else where it states that the Lord told David to do the act.

II Samuel 24:1 KJV
And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.

Would God, let the people have something they shouldn't have?
Yes!

Psalm 106:15 KJV
And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

Psalm 106 fully explains God's anger, His giving His people their wayward desires, and then sending them judgment.

Psalm 106:1-48 NLT
1 Praise the Lord! Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! His faithful love endures forever.
2 Who can list the glorious miracles of the Lord? Who can ever praise Him enough?
3 There is joy for those who deal justly with others and always do what is right.
4 Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people; come near and rescue me.
5 Let me share in the prosperity of your chosen ones. Let me rejoice in the joy of your people; let me praise you with those who are your heritage.
6 Like our ancestors, we have sinned. We have done wrong! We have acted wickedly!
7 Our ancestors in Egypt were not impressed by the Lord’s miraculous deeds.
They soon forgot His many acts of kindness to them. Instead, they rebelled against Him at the Red Sea.
8 Even so, he saved them— to defend the honor of His name and to demonstrate His mighty power.
9 He commanded the Red Sea to dry up. He led Israel across the sea as if it were a desert.
10 So He rescued them from their enemies and redeemed them from their foes.
11 Then the water returned and covered their enemies; not one of them survived.
12 Then His people believed His promises. Then they sang His praise.
13 Yet how quickly they forgot what He had done! They wouldn’t wait for His counsel!
14 In the wilderness their desires ran wild, testing God’s patience in that dry wasteland.
15 So He gave them what they asked for, but He sent a plague along with it.
16 The people in the camp were jealous of Moses and envious of Aaron, the Lord’s holy priest.
17 Because of this, the earth opened up; it swallowed Dathan and buried Abiram and the other rebels.
18 Fire fell upon their followers; a flame consumed the wicked.
19 The people made a calf at Mount Sinai; they bowed before an image made of gold.
20 They traded their glorious God for a statue of a grass-eating bull.
21 They forgot God, their savior, who had done such great things in Egypt—
22 such wonderful things in the land of Ham, such awesome deeds at the Red Sea.
23 So He declared He would destroy them. But Moses, His chosen one, stepped between the Lord and the people. He begged Him to turn from His anger and not destroy them.
24 The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn’t believe His promise to care for them.
25 Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the Lord.
26 Therefore, He solemnly swore that He would kill them in the wilderness,
27 that He would scatter their descendants among the nations, exiling them to distant lands.
28 Then our ancestors joined in the worship of Baal at Peor; they even ate sacrifices offered to the dead!
29 They angered the Lord with all these things, so a plague broke out among them.
30 But Phinehas had the courage to intervene, and the plague was stopped.
31 So he has been regarded as a righteous man ever since that time.
32 At Meribah, too, they angered the Lord, causing Moses serious trouble.
33 They made Moses angry, and he spoke foolishly.
34 Israel failed to destroy the nations in the land, as the Lord had commanded them.
35 Instead, they mingled among the pagans and adopted their evil customs.
36 They worshiped their idols, which led to their downfall.
37 They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons.
38 They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters.
By sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan, they polluted the land with murder.
39 They defiled themselves by their evil deeds, and their love of idols was adultery in the Lord’s sight.
40 That is why the Lord’s anger burned against His people, and He abhorred His own special possession.
41 He handed them over to pagan nations, and they were ruled by those who hated them.
42 Their enemies crushed them and brought them under their cruel power.
43 Again and again He rescued them, but they chose to rebel against Him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin.
44 Even so, He pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries.
45 He remembered His covenant with them and relented because of His unfailing love.
46 He even caused their captors to treat them with kindness.
47 Save us, O Lord our God! Gather us back from among the nations, so we can thank your Holy Name and rejoice and praise you.
48 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the Lord!

Judgment is always the result of sin:

I Chronicles 21:9-14 KJV
9 Then the Lord spoke to Gad, David’s seer. This was the message:
10 “Go and say to David, ‘This is what the Lord says: I will give you three choices. Choose one of these punishments, and I will inflict it on you.’”
11 So Gad came to David and said, “These are the choices the Lord has given you.
12 You may choose three years of famine, three months of destruction by the sword of your enemies, or three days of severe plague as the angel of the Lord brings devastation throughout the land of Israel. Decide what answer I should give the Lord who sent me.”
13 “I’m in a desperate situation!” David replied to Gad. “But let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for His mercy is very great. Do not let me fall into human hands.”
14 So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel, and 70,000 people died as a result.

Ezekiel 18:4 KJV
"...the soul that sinneth, it shall die."

Romans 3:23 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

John 1:12,13 KJV
[12] But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
[13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Bible Questions Answered: Offerings-Church

Bible Questions Answered:
I see how in Bible days, the disciples, did not raise offerings, etc. they trusted God to take care of them.
Why don't churches follow that today. I'm tired of hearing about money raising in the church! Surely this is the work of the devil, let's throw the money changers out!
Arnold/ Cryodon, U.K.

Bible Answers:
The scripture to which you refer is:

Matthew 10:1-10 KJV (Commission of the Twelve.)

[1] And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
[2] Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
[3] Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
[4] Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
[5] These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
[6] But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
[7] And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[8] Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
[9] Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
[10] Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves:
for the workman is worthy of his meat.

Why is it that you do not understand these last few words.
For our Lord, stated that the people that were ministered to by the disciples, (the workers), owed compensation to them, for their work!

What was the reasoning behind this requirement of taking no provisions?
*God would show Himself strong on their behalf (through the hearts of Godly people).
*The “works-of-God,” were not for sale, i.e...to the highest bidder-i.e..giver.

Luke 10:1-9 KJV (Commission of the seventy)
[1] After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before His face into every city and place, whither He himself would come.
[2] Therefore said He unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest.
[3] Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
[4] Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
[5] And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.
[6] And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
[7] And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for
the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

(Notice how that it was the responsibility of Christian people,to give to the disciples, so that they could continue to do the work of the ministry.)

[8] And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
[9] And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

Galatians 6:6 KJV (The Apostle Paul.)
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

Galatians 6:6 NLT
Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them.

Galatians 6:6 NIV
Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.

Galatians 6:6 AMP
Let him who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his support].

Philippians 4:14 KJV (The Apostle Paul)
Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

Philippians 4:14 NLT
Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty.

Philippians 4:14 NIV
Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.

Philippians 4:14 AMP
But it was right and commendable and noble of you to contribute for my needs and to share my difficulties with me.

I Timothy 5:18 KJV (The Apostle Paul.)
For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And,
The labourer is worthy of his reward.

I Timothy 5:18 NLT
For the Scripture says, “You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain.” And in another place, “Those who work deserve their pay!”

I Timothy 5:18 NIV
For the Scripture says, "Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain," and
"The worker deserves his wages."

I Timothy 5:18 Amp
For the Scripture says, You shall not muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain, and again, The laborer is worthy of his hire.

Luke 22:35,36 KJV
[35] And He said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
[36] Then said He unto them, But now,
he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and
he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Luke 22:35,36 NLT
35 Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out to preach the Good News and you did not have money, a traveler’s bag, or extra clothing, did you need anything?” “No,” they replied.
36 “But now,” He said, “take your money and a traveler’s bag. And if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!

The living God, has never called the stingy, and the selfish, to be His followers, but He has called His people to be His loving, giving, children.

I Corinthians 9:14 KJV
Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

Malachi 3:10 KJV
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Malachi 3:10 NLT
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in My Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put Me to the test!

Malachi 3:10 AMP
Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Two kinds of people, in the church and the world,, the stingy, and the liberal.

Proverbs 11:24 NLT
Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.

Luke 6:38 KJV (Jesus)
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Luke 10:25-37 KJV
[25] And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted Him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
[26] He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
[27] And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
[28] And He said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
[29] But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?
[30] And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
[31] And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
[32] And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
[33] But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
[34] And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
[35] And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
[36] Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
[37] And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

II Corinthians 9:6 KJV
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Bible Lesson: Our Lord's Parables

Our Lord's Parables:
The Two Sons

Matthew 21:28-32 KJV
[28] But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
[29] He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
[30] And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.
[31] Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
[32] For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

Matthew 21:28-32 NLT
28 “But what do you think about this? A man with two sons told the older boy, ‘Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.’
29 The son answered, ‘No, I won’t go,’ but later he changed his mind and went anyway.
30 Then the father told the other son, ‘You go,’ and he said, ‘Yes, sir, I will.’ But he didn’t go.
31 “Which of the two obeyed his father?” They replied, “The first.”
Then Jesus explained His meaning: “I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do.
32 For John the Baptist came and showed you the right way to live, but you didn’t believe him, while tax collectors and prostitutes did. And even when you saw this happening, you refused to believe him and repent of your sins.

The Chief Priests and Elders had rejected Jesus.

John 5:43 KJV
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive Me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Trying to trap Him, they asked Him ...

Matthew 21:23-27 KJV
[23] And when He was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto Him as He was teaching, and said,
By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?
[24] And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
[25] The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; He will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
[26] But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
[27] And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And He said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

The Chief Priests, and Elders could not answer Him, but Jesus had a question they could answer, in the parable of the two sons.
Which son was obedient to the father? They're answer was, the first son was obedient.
And they were correct.

But then the condemnation became clear!
They were the Elders of Israel, spiritual leaders, had they in repentance and sorrow, torn their garments over their sin (rebellion), and become obedient to the voice of the Father?

And the terrible answer by their own hands was........no, they had not.
They claimed to be God's leaders, but they had not, gone out into the Father's vineyard to work.
They claimed spiritual superiority, yet they were no leaders at all, they were the blind leaders of the blind.

Matthew 15:14 KJV
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

I John 1:8-10 KJV (See also the story of the Prodigal Son Luke 15:11-32)
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[9] If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Those who were called, and who had refused, who repented (about face) of their sin, and who obeyed, were the true children of God.
The Publicans, tax collectors, the harlots, etc. etc...

Matthew 21:31 KJV
“...Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.”

Warning Today:

Matthew 7:13-27 KJV
[13] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
[14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

II Corinthians 11:13-15 KJV
[13] For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
[14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Charismatic Church workers that perform exorcisms, prophecy, and do many wonderful works- WORKERS OF INIQUITY?

Yes, said Jesus, and why so? Because they are false spiritual leaders, spiritual deceivers!
False spiritual leaders, the worst of all evil things, because they lull souls to sleep in religious adoration, devoid of heaven sent repentance and obedience, salvation.

They deceive countless souls to their destruction by leading them in false dead doctrines, rituals, and religious works, that they live and teach.

False Religious Leaders, were not any thing new in our Lord's day, but unafraid, and full of the Spirit of God, our Lord called it, as it was, the work of the devil.

Luke 18:10-14 KJV
[10] Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
[11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
[12] I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
[13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
[14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

I Samuel 16:7 KJV
"...for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart."

I Samuel 15:22 KJV
"...Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Our Lord is looking for men and women who worship and live for Him, in their hearts not at the pedestal of a cold dead marble shrine.

[24] Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
[25] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
[26] And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
[27] And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Isaiah 55:6,7 KJV
[6] Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near:
[7] Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Bible Questions Answered: Grace For Grace

Bible Questions Answered:
I see this verse in John and often wonder just what this is saying, that is grace for grace?
Herman / Jefferson City, Missouri

Bible Answers:
The scripture to which you refer is:

John 1:16 KJV
And of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.

John 1:16 NLT
From His abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.

John 1:16 NIV
From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another.

John 1:14 KJV
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of Grace and Truth.

John 1:15,16 AMP
15 John testified about Him and cried out, This was He of Whom I said, He Who comes after me has priority over me, for He was before me. [He takes rank above me, for He existed before I did. He has advanced before me, because He is my Chief.]
16 For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.

And the next verse....

John 1:17 KJV
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Some one has long ago said, that the explanation of Grace is found in the acronym for Grace.
G. God's
R. Riches
A. At
C. Christ's
E. Expense

Mankind under fallen Adam, has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and no good comes of sin.

Romans 3:23 KJV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Fallen mankind has only earned the wages of death.

Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:8,9;20
[8] But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[9] Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
[20] Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Grace, God's Riches At Christ's Expense, comes only to man through the Lord Jesus Christ.
And all the grace of God (Gift of God), is heaped up on the one who has received, and who is living for God's Son.

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 4:11,12 NLT
11 For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.

God's grace cannot be earned.

Romans 11:6 NLT
And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.

Romans 3:24 KJV
Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;

Ephesians 2:8,9 KJV
[8] For by Grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Where would we be without the Mercy of God, His salvation (through the shed blood of His Son), His love, His direction, and blessings without number?

Psalm 68:19 KJV
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Psalm 84:11 KJV
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Philippians 4:19 KJV
But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

As Christian people, we have the love, mercy, salvation, and grace of the Lord, but we are not yet complete, not yet sanctified, and won't be until we come into His presence.

Colossians 2:9,10 KJV
[9] For in Him (Jesus Christ) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
[10] And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power:

I John 3:1-3 NAS
1. See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God ; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
2. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.
3. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Jude 24
Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

II Timothy 2:1 KJV
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Bible Questions Answered: Temple-Millennial

Bible Questions Answered:
Bible Error?
I see that in Ezek. 43:21, it speaks of a temple and sacrifices, how can this be in light of the scripture, Heb. 10:8?
Madhu/ Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Bible Answers:
Ezekiel 43:21 NLT (A new Temple, to be built, revealed to Ezekiel – 40:1-48:35.)
Then take the young bull for the sin offering and burn it at the appointed place outside the Temple area.

Hebrews 10:8 NLT
First, Christ said, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or burnt offerings or other offerings for sin, nor were you pleased with them” (though they are required by the law of Moses)

And let us continue in Hebrews 10, with verses 9-23.
9 Then He said, “Look, I have come to do your will.” He cancels the first covenant in order to put the second into effect.
10 For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ,
once for all time.

11 Under the old covenant, the priest stands and ministers before the altar day after day, offering the same sacrifices again and again, which can never take away sins.
12 But our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then He sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
13 There He waits until His enemies are humbled and made a footstool under His feet.

14 For by that one offering He forever made perfect those who are being made holy.
15 And the Holy Spirit also testifies that this is so. For He says,
16 “This is the new covenant I will make with My people on that day, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”
17 Then He says,“I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”
18 And when sins have been forgiven, there is no need to offer any more sacrifices.
19 And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.
20 By His death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
21 And since we have a Great High Priest who rules over God’s house,
22 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.

The Lord had given Ezekiel a vision of a “future temple,” to be built.
No, it has never been built yet.
No, it is not the temple the Jews will build in the time of the Tribulation, which will be desecrated by the Anti-Christ (Daniel 11:31.)
It is a yet future – a Millennial Temple.

But dear brother, didn't you hear the Apostle Paul, say, that Christ has forever accomplished, “once and for all,” what animal sacrifices could never accomplish?
Yes, so the question then is, what can this be?

Here is a thought to ponder.

Genesis 14:17-20 NLT
17 After Abram returned from his victory over Kedorlaomer and all his allies, the king of Sodom went out to meet him in the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18 And Melchizedek, the king of Salem and a priest of God Most High, brought Abram some bread and wine.
19 Melchizedek blessed Abram with this blessing:“Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.
20 And blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you.”
Then Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of all the goods he had recovered.

Melchizedek and Abram, together ate the Lord's Supper, some 1,900 years before the Lord's death at Calvary.
It showed the way that was to come.
We today celebrate the Lord's Supper, celebrating His victory of sin and death, some 2,000 years after the fact, remembering that great victory, by looking back.

We know the God of the Bible is in the business of “memorials,” such as altars.
Would it not be proper to, “remember,” by pointing back at our Lords' great triumph, of Calvary, yes even during the Millennium?
And apparently so it shall be!
To abrogate the sins of the people? Never, for as the Apostle so aptly stated...

Hebrews 10:10 NLT
For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.

As a people, should we not always, be brought to remember, by what great sacrifice, our sins have been cleansed, yes.

I John 1:7 KJV
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

(23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

I John 1:8,10 KJV
[8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I John 5:11 KJV
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

Romans 5:6-8 KJV
[6] For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
[7] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
[8] But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

I Peter 3:18 KJV
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

I Peter 1:18,19 KJV
[18] Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
[19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot:

I John 1:7 KJV
"...the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin."

Romans 5:9,10 KJV
[9] Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
[10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Have you taken Him, as your Lord and Saviour?

Five ways to know that you are saved.

I)The Witness from within.

Romans 8:15,16 KJV
[15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
[16] The Spirit itself (Himself) beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Galatians 4:6 KJV
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

I John 5:10 KJV
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made Him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.

II)The Witness of the Word.
John 3:36 KJV
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Romans 10:9,10 KJV
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him (Jesus Christ) from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

John 1:12 KJV
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:

John 5:24 KJV
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

I John 5:13 KJV
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

III) We know by our “new,” love for others.

I John 3:11-14 KJV
[11] For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
[12] Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
[13] Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
[14] We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

John 3:19-21 KJV
[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Matthew 5:14 KJV
"Ye are the light of the world..."

I John 3:20,21 KJV
[20] For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
[21] Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

I John 4:7,8 KJV
[7] Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
[8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

IV) We may know that we are “saved,” by our new call to obey God's Word.

I John 2:3-5 KJV
[3] And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
[4] He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him.
[5] But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him.

Romans 8:6-8 KJV
[6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
[7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
[8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

I John 3:23,24 NAS
23. This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
24. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

I Corinthians 2:14 KJV
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

John 14:21-23 KJV
[21] He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.
[22] Judas saith unto Him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him.

V) We may know we are saved, by our Transformed Lives.

II Corinthians 5:17 KJV
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

John 3:8 KJV
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Isaiah 55:7 KJV
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

Romans 5:1 KJV
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Isaiah 57:20,21 KJV
[20] But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
[21] There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.
